This is a great all vegeterian, mexican restaurant on the historic and rich east side of Austin. The food is served cafeteria style with generous portions. It is attached to a health food store and there are also interesting desserts. Unique Austin!

I was just reading reviews and had to comment on this. Your an idiot. You were not a customer, you were going to be a customer. I mean did you tell the restaurant you were going to eat there? you parked and left. How are they supposed to know that you are going to come back and eat there? use a lit...

We dropped into this restaurant because of its convenient location. We couldnt decide on what we wanted but decided chinese food sounded okay when we approached the place. I wish we had kept on driving. The food was cold and had that "recycled" look to it. We'd just sat down after our initial vi...

Excellent food and good prices. Perfect for lunch. try the tangerine mushrooms and the protein 2000.
OUTSTANDING EVERYTIME!! VERY CONSISTENT. I EAT THERE AT LEAST ONCE PER MONTH AND HAVE NEVER HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE. GREAT PRICES, GREAT PORTIONS, EXCELLENT MENU!
The Old Pecan Street Cafe is fabulous. The food is top notch being the traditional old fashion american cuisine with some added features, and the atmosphere is like something out of a good ole fashion movie. The building itself is a historical site with an official marker on the front of the buildin...
Our experience at El Patio was Great! Everybody there is very friendly and the food is fantastic. The restaurant has been there for almost 50 years with the same family owning the restaurant! Give it a try!!
Excellent value. The Village Tacos plate is different than almost anywhere else I have eaten tacos. Be sure to get the corn tortillas; beef or chicken - doesn't matter which. You get 3 huge tacos, crammed with either chicken that has stewed in a tomato base or the ground beef that is lightly spic...

My wife had eaten at China Star for lunch and said that it was very good. She said that it is very crowded at lunch time. On that premise, we decided to go there for dinner. The supposedly fresh shrimp and sushi smelled fairly pungent of age. The battered and fried chicken is any kind of sauce l...

The ONLY place to eat pho in Austin. The largest variety of ingredients and all the trimmings on the side allow you to adjust your pho to suit your taste. Incredible non-pho menu items as well, many served in a flaming fondu style pot or a sizzling hot plate. Don't miss the shrimp spring rolls, and d...

The best Pho I've had anywhere, served with Thai basil, bean sprouts, etc. The egg rolls are excellent too. The iced tea is a bit watery, not much more than colored water. The vermicelli is equal to the best I've had elsewhere.

My boyfriend and I decided to try China Star tonight for dinner. I have heard many people swear up and down that this place has great food. The hot & sour soup was very salty with little other flavor except the green onion I added. The lo mein was disgusting at best. I have never spit food into a na...

I stopped by Veggie Heaven while running errands today. I heard it was pretty good and felt like eating healthy. I parked my car, delivered some mail next door and on the way into the restaurant I saw someone TOWING MY CAR! I asked them why! "This parking is for Veggie Heaven customers only." "Bu...
Serranos has been a personal favorite of mine for years, and this is its best location in Austin. The food is good, service is ok, and the building is very nice. For the health-conscious I recommend the fabulous Pollo Loco and their sopapillas always are the perfect ending to a great meal.
If you are ever in the south side of Austin check this place out. It can be a bit pricey but not if you are after the standard fair. They have great meals for vegitarians. The food is excellent and they have take out until 2am, great after a night at the bar.

#1 Do you love seafood? If yes, read on. #2 Do you mind making a mess? If no, read on. The Boiling Pot is on the corner of I35 and 6th street. It's colorful and smells delicious. Each table is covered with white paper, which I will explain in a few. They have at least 3 different types of crab to...

Great food. Noisy atmosphere. Infurating parking. Long wait most evenings. Smoked Chicken Chilli Rellino is to die for.

First let me tell you, the parking is horrendous and you're guaranteed at least an hour wait on a Saturday night. The inside reminds me of a ski lodge warm and open and filled with lots of chatter. It is also very baby friendly. I think I saw 8 babies while we were waiting. You can dress up or go...
