Impressive that a restaurant in New York would attract such accolades and be so incredibly disappointing, touting variety and a long history of great service, Vatan is for those who have no understanding or appreciation for quality cuisine, have no capability to distinguish fine Indian flavors and f...
A fine Indian Cuisine, Just Great!
Excellant Food hospitality for Indian traditional food
I loved it here and so we are going to come here tonight again! Thanks a lot!!!!!!!!
Amazing! The food was delicious and plentiful. The atmosphere - the cushoned seats, the cloud-painted ceiling, the tree in the middle of the restaurant, the open, airy feeling - was relaxing and amazing. The service was absolutely the best! It's worth a trip to NYC just to dine at this restauran...
One of the best places for indian food in the city. for under 25 $ / person. An experience unlike any other.
The food is really really good and quite authentic in its taste compared to most Indian restaurants in the NY Metro area. The service is very friendly. A definite thumbs up!
Please note that this is not just an "Indian" Restaurant. It is an Indian Restaurant that serves Gujerati Cuisine. This means it is all vegetarian and very unlike the vegetarian food found in most typical Indian places which tend to have Punjabi cuisine or like South Indian places with Dosas and suc...
A great ambience and you get a lot of food. The food is not that great, but the price is worth for the ambience.
THE FOOD IS FABULOUS....THE SERVICE IS GREAT AND THE PRICE IS RIGHT.
Very unfriendly and uncourteous service. It is definitely not value for money food for the WBC invitees
Everytime someone visits me from out of town, I take them here. It's hands-down my favortie restaurant in New York, with a great all-you-can-eat prix-fixe menu for $25. Beautiful, serene setting.

Great decor, unique feel, and excellent food. You get to try a little of everything, and as much of anything as you like, ...

Very ethnic Indian setting inside, fresh and tasty vegetarian food. Good value for money for the quality and variety of food offered.

Quantum Leap has a good menu, with some great lunch specials, and is a welcome sight in the Washington Square Pk/NYU area. The service can be a bit slow but it is a small, homey establishment with a limited staff. There are vegan as well as light seafood options and always creative, animal free dess...
The food at Candle is good. It is, I think, rather overpriced and as a vegetarian, a good portion of my meal is salad! Their salads and many other dishes can be a little skimpy and border on an attempt at a "nouveau" style to the presentation (meaning not very much, although very pretty, for your bu...

Angelica's is one of my favorite restaurants in the city. Delicious, inventive veggie cuisine, friendly, hip staff and a great overall vibe. My only complaint is that the wait can sometimes be excruciating--but then again, it's the coziness of the place which is so appealing so it's a necessary hass...
