What used to be an eclectic neighborhood charmer is now a buckhead clone under new ownership, complete with the requsite (and loud) Buckhead Bettys and Biffs. The menu contains remnants of it's former glory, but they were poorly executed and the flash crisped fried items of the old kitchen (calmari and conch fritters) are now heavily breaded, and arrived soaking in grease when we ordered them. New items on the menu are dumbed down creatively - popcorn shrimp and fish and chips - and again, poorly executed (fish and chips can be an inspirational dish if properly prepared... alas, this was not the case.) Service was confused and neglectful - after finally being seated 45 minutes after our reservation, another 15 minutes went by before we were waited on. Perhaps the kitchen and wait-staff were off that night but the experience was so poor we won't be returning - even for the key lime pie.
Excellent food! Everything I've tried has been delicious. Very cozy atmosphere & beautifully decorated. Service was a tad slow, but the waiter was funny and witty enough to make up for it. We were even given coupons for our next visit.
