Have gone a few times...pastries are spectacular...almond croissants are to die for..best in ct as good or better than ny....seems as though they went through a transition with their bread but the last time i bought a pumpernickel and rye and they were great...wish they had a bakery in west hartford...

Great Food, Great Bar, Excellent Service. Bobby Jo is a great waitress and makes this dining experience fun and accomdating. The great tradition of good food continues. Will always go back for more.

My husband and I were pleasantly surprised when we ate here (June, 2008). Delicious food, beautifully presented and stellar service. We had eaten at Oporto a few weeks ago and found the opposite experience - Mediocre food and bad service and overpriced. Nutshell is a gem!!!

Not the worst food italian food in the world but the worst on Franklin Avenue. If anything, their food is 5 Stars compared to their shabby service. The waitresses are horrible and i've even caught them staring at us for long periods of time and for no reason. Also, everytime I needed the waitress...
The place is a dump. Dried ketchup splattered on the wall, broken ice cream freezer taking up space, everything is old and dirty, etc. etc. I don't know how they pass any health inspection.
