This is an outdoors experience (shelter is provided for when it rains!). I highly recommend the halibut. Buffet type service located at Alaskaland, so there are lots of other things to see and do before and after.
If you are looking for an unpleasant enviroment and one that reminds you of a smoke filled truck stop, the Bakery Restaurant is your place. The service is probably the worst that you can find in Fairbanks, if you are a minority.
I even returned for a second dose, thinking that I may have gone on...
Not really bad, just so mediocre. I can make better breakfast and I am not a cook.
Brisket is good. Sometimes good live music. Good service. Good beer selection.
Unfortunately I was served cold ribs several times. They were obviously pre cooked and microwaved to warm up and were not hot to the bone. Side dishe of greens was terrble. Corn bread seems to be package not "home made"...
Nice, cozy and romantic environment. It is expensive and maybe not quite worth all of it both the service was excellent. I ordered the Lamb Chops which were kind of tiny for the $32 and the potatoes kind of sour but I would definitely visit it again and try a different meal.
This is the worst Italian dining experience I have ever had. The food was worse than the frozen meals purchased in a vending machine. The Hostess was efficient and seated us promptly but then we sat there for at least half an hour before our server appeared. I could see her talking to another ser...
Geraldo's is a wonderful Italian restaurant, and they're whole philosophy is garlic! garlic! garlic! which is alright with me! :)
The ambience there is just like you'd want out of an Italian restaurant, dim, smells heavenly and lots of Frank Sinatra in the background.
The food is very good, th...
The food was awesome and the service and the ambience made our experience even better. We recommend this restaurant highly!
It is now called called Asian Bistro to protect the plaintiffs. I travel a lot and pride myself on eating sushi and sashimi at some of the best places on earth. I stopped in after a week of work here in Alaska thinking I might get some fresh fish, if not at least frozen. It was a simple order of sas...
Awesome bulgogi. House fried rice is the bomb. Chicken soup is amazing. Service with a smile. Open until midnight Monday through Saturday. Plenty of Parking in the back.
Check out Ichiban Inn Bed and Breakfast next door. A renovated historic log-cabin with a suite that sleeps four. 907-455-9116, 90...
I love the service, a more friendly place I have yet to find.
Excellent menu, many different entrees to choose from. Delightful appetizers and awesome desserts. Prompt service, even when full.
Soapy Smiths restaurant in Fairbanks is a lousy place to eat. The Klondike chicken sandwich was overcooked and was very plain tasting. Even the french fries were over cooked. My wife's sandwich was a turkey sub that was supposed to be on homemade bread. The sub was bland, tough and plain. The servic...
We went there just after the finish of the Irondog race to eat a quick lunch. The interior is decorated with tons of Alaskan stuff memorabilia. Unfortunately they were short-staffed and it took over half an hour for a steak and cheese sandwich with fries. It was one of the priciest items and not ...
Good food, very attentive (almost overly friendly) service. The best thing about it is the prices, which are uncommonly low for this sort of food, and they haven't gone up with the inflation of every other restaurant in Fairbanks. Awesome! I haven't had too much of the menu, but the only thing I ...
Great Place! Great Food! Great Sevice! It made us feel good!!!!!!!!!!!!! I only wish it was closer to home.
I would like to say hello to an old friend!
If in fact, this is, the right Nick!
I'm from the Mission Valley Hunter. (A San Diego Restaurant Review.)
I met Nick many years ago. He us...
A wonderful place to go relax and eat while on your lunch break. The service, food and atmosphere is great, and you get back to work on time.
A group of workmates and I flew to Fairbanks for the day to visit some clients. We asked the cabbie if he could recommend a lunch spot. He did. Went to Soapy Smith's. What a great atmosphere! We were greeted by an incredibly friendly host/waiter who made us feel so much at home.
As he brought ...
