a diner from st. cloud, mn.
It is now called called Asian Bistro to protect the plaintiffs. I travel a lot and pride myself on eating sushi and sashimi at some of the best places on earth. I stopped in after a week of work here in Alaska thinking I might get some fresh fish, if not at least frozen. It was a simple order of sashimi with a "rainbow roll #2" which has spicy tuna inside. OMG they used really old smelly fish with lemon to hide the odor of rotting fish for the spicy tuna inside the roll. I had half a bowl of miso soup a small bottle of warm sake (nothing out of the ordinary) and two pieces of the roll (I had ordered other things too, but had not received them yet). Boy they did not set well with me. I made it to the john and they came flying back out! I knew exactly what it was! I came back out to my table and canceled the rest of my order and told them why. They proceeded to tell me that they use fresh fish, bla, bla, bla, bla, and I was somehow mistaken and maybe it was the sake. (I normally have 4 small bottles with my meal).
The thing that angered me was they charged me for the vomit. I didn't mind paying for the sake, but rotten fish? Not even, I think the health dept. should take a look inside here some time.
I would say before you eat here, go somewhere else. Every time.
