Having live in Douglasville for 40 years and eating at every BBQ in the area new and old, we find Hudson's the best. Not the greatest in decor, but standard for the old time BBQ houses.
When it comes to great food, the decor comes last.
Would recommend everyone give it a try!

Being a devoted fan of Hudsons Sorry to all of those of you dont think that is a GREAT place to eat,,,, I could not wait to get home after being in Iraq for 15 months to come home and eat here,,,, Thanks to all the staff past and present for all their hard work. And to the guys in the take out side that remembered me even after being gone during not only my time in Iraq as well as being gone and living in Ill,,, I drove all the way to D'ville from Joliet, Il. to show a buddy of mine what true ""Southern BBQ"" is really like

Having live in Douglasville for 40 years and eating at every BBQ in the area new and old, we find Hudson's the best. Not the greatest in decor, but standard for the old time BBQ houses.
When it comes to great food, the decor comes last.
Would recommend everyone give it a try!

I ate there last night and the chicken was so tuff you couldn't tear it apart. The service was great but I can't say much for the food.

I grew up eating Hudson's BBQ. I have yet to find a better flavor. I recommend Hudsons to anyone seeking great hickory flavor BBQ. You won't be disappointed!

The food is good, the price is very reasonable, the atmosphere is family oriented if you live in the country. In other words, you won't be going there for the ambience. Their decor is not much to look at and they could use some new tables and chairs. Yet, if you want good barbecue at very good prices you will enjoy eating there. They have good steaks and good brunswick stew too. They also have take out which is quick and convenient.
This is a wonderful family enviornmented restraunt.

I've lived here since i was 1 year old....i have great childhood memories of eating at hudsons...it was always something special...before ballgames...take-out to the lake...etc. Buford made the right decision not to move or make big changes to hudsons'...simply the best bbq around(notice the others never last long!) HUDSONS'..A Douglas county staple.

This is a great family restaurant! Fabulous food with a super duper staff! Kudos to Buford and Scott for a fine dining experience for all! Ronald too.....great stew!!

NEVER EAT HERE!!! First of all, if you are not originally from Douglasville you get stared at as you walk in with a "What are you doing here look." Service was slow, and to top it off as we were paying our bill, the health department rating was next to the cashier and read 59! Should a restaurant even be open with that kind or rating???
I grew up up in Douglasville and it was always a treat when we had hudson's BBQ. Their food is awesome.

Hands down, my favorite BBQ in the Atlanta area. I travel frequently to Birmingham, AL and always find time to stop in at Hudson's for a couple of pork sandwiches for my road trip. I have been doing this off and on for at least the past 20 years. It's hard to leave the sandwiches in the bag until I get to I-20, but it's always worth the wait!

Hudson Hickory House is a gem among barbecue restaurants. I grew up in Douglasville, GA, and I have lived about an hour away from there for many years now, but I've never found anywhere that had barbecue comparable to them! Everything they serve is mouth-watering! If you love barbecue, then you've just met barbecue heaven in Hudson Hickory House.
This is the best Bar-B-Que you will find anywhere in the country. Hudson's is one of the few places that you can still get inside meat. I highly recommend it to anyone that loves great Bar-B-Que.
