I have tried pupusas in my country El Salvador, California, and Texas, and I must say that NC pupusas are the worst. I went to this restaurant thinking and hoping they would be good, and to my dissapointment, they were the worst I have ever tried. Their 'pupusas' and 'curtido y salsa' were really bad. I have never gone to a Salvadorian restaurant where they don't let you serve your own 'curtido y salsa.' ...except here in NC.
Their 'Torrejas' were bad.
The only OK thing was their service and 'flan', it was way better than the food.

We love this place. They're friendly, service is fast and the food, both Salvadorian and Mexican, is excellent. I grew up in Houston where places like this were a dime a dozen but it's been difficult to find a place in the Triad that served more authentic food from south of the border. Most of the restaurants serve "Americanized" Mexican food. You're missing out guys! Check out El Tamarindo!

they will not honor the restraunt.com coupons at teh stated amounts, we had one for $25 and one for $10, we were told we could only use the $10 dollar one, and after the meal they changed it and told us they would only take off $5.00. if you go make sure you get to see a copy of the whole bill. we did not and i think we were also overcharged. we will not be returning

I have dined here many times for brunch/lunch/dinner and the food is always consistent and service is exceptional. My fav dinner entrees have been their seafood specials which has always been fresh. Highly recommend!
