The new Jake's Diner off of New Garden Rd. in Greensboro is horrible. Without going into too many details...no menus given, no utensils given before food, over 45 minute wait for eggs and pancakes, out of special for the evening, out of biscuits, did not bring entire order to table, burnt bacon, cold food, cold coffee, no refills, over charged (be careful...they do not give you an itemized bill or receipt with prices listed), wait staff going to tables and blaming cooks on problems, waitress left crying and to top it all off a different waitress was offering to make fruit smoothie samples for all the kids, but never did. When the kids asked her about it she just said she did not have any samples made. This was my ALL time WORST dinig experience EVER!

I got food poisoning on Friday night, December 12th, 2008 from this place. I had onion rings and a steak and cheese. I was up all night. I will never eat there again.

This is the best place I have found to eat. I came over 6 hours to a concert and ended up leaving and talkin aboiut this dinner as much as the concert.

Jake's Diner is a great place to get a quick meal (very quick!) that's tasty for a great price. The grilled cheese sandwiches are light & tasty & the waitresses are very friendly. Also convenient to I-40.

I have dined here many times for brunch/lunch/dinner and the food is always consistent and service is exceptional. My fav dinner entrees have been their seafood specials which has always been fresh. Highly recommend!
