Delicious! The employees were very welcoming.

The food was wonderful, and there was a great variety. Also, the meat was tender, the ranch dressing is out of this world, and the desserts were divine! And, it was very child friendly. We will definitely be coming back.

Stay Far Away Overpriced Dried Foods

The very worst slop buffet of all time,, steam tables dry meat out to almost inedible. The priced has went through the roof compared to the other buffet in the downriver area. New management will have this place outta business in a short time. The most bland mac & cheese ever and dried out pizza many meats way over cooked. The restrooms stink and ares dirty,, what does that tell you about the kitchen. Employees turnover is very high as they always runs ads. What a shame to take the hard working folks of downrivers money.



Not Worth it,,, Go Elsewhere

This place has priced itself right out of business with dinner costing a family of 4, $ 50 which is way out of price for us downriver. The quality of the food is mediocre at best along with the dirty restrooms and the change in management and firing of many employees that helped them get started 18 months ago. Save your money and go else where,,, many better buffets downriver.

Love the buffet. Wednesday is my favorite day of the week because of the stuffed cabbage and city chicken. Everything is homemade and delicious.

They are currently adding new items to the menu and they are have special foods several days a week.

Although I know it created hardship for the people involved, me and the wife are SO glad that OCB screwed-up and left these fine people without jobs. This because now it has given the chance for the same people to turn this to their advantage and come back as the new All American Buffet. The food is even better than before, you can NOT beat the service, value and quality (even compared to other buffets OR non-buffet style restaurants) and the people are the same as before - and like family (as most would agree who've been there). Definately a must-go-to place for everything it has to offer. Try it and I guarantee it'll be on your list of favorites also.

Great food, great employees and a great deal! Very happy with my visit my kids and I loved it!

Great Super Buffet drinks included in price too

I so love that someone bought this old country buffet, with all the same decor and was able to hire a portion of the staff from here and the OCB Taylor location. The foods and salad bar are all wonderful, the staff are the best and the managers walk around talking with the guests,,,how cool is this. The price on all meals include your drinks 3 of us had lunch today with drinks and dessert for $ 20 now how cool is that. Please give them a try as they have support the return to work of 50 plus employees here downriver, I find this as the most unique thing a owner can do,,,put people outta work back to work. Please support this great group. you'll be happy you did.

Glad Southgate has a Buffet again! Welcome Back!

We ate there for the first time yesterday. The food was just average for a buffet style restaurant. It is a run-of-the-mill buffet; nothing at all stands out. Not the best in variety. If a Golden Corral was not so far away, this place would never stand a chance. I will say that their fried and BBQ chicken were very good. The salad bar seemed fresh and clean with an acceptable variety. The steak however, was was tough, dry and thin; almost pan fried looking. No fried mushrooms on the buffet. Mac & Cheese was very bland. The price I thought was slightly inflated. The mens restroom could stand to be cleaner. If the quality here slips ever so slightly, which, like most new places will after the newness and excitement wears off, I'm sure this restaurant would be in jeopardy.

Service was very good. All workers we encountered were polite and courteous. Hot food was hot and cold food cold. We went for breakfast and there was a good selection. I would like to see more pancake flavors ie blueberry and some type of signage indicating the salad dressings. I was unable to tell which dressing was light ranch.

The food and service was excellant! Most of the former employees from the Old Country Buffet are back and now have jobs again. They also hired about 12 employees from the Old Country Buffet in Taylor including a manager named Bob who is doing a great job. Good thing they opened up again the closing of the old country buffet created a real void for the regulars who came in there all the time. The food is better then it was when it was under the Old Country Buffet umbrella. Good value-lots of choices! I would definately go back again!

This is an Excellent place to bring the family. This is by far the better resturant compared to Buffet Inc. Old Country Buffet, made a mistake by:taking this place & loyal customers and the employee's for granted.
