Southgate Restaurant Guide

I love this bar. I particularly liked it because although they had a ton of "bar food" options, I am more of a salad girl and I had the most amazing Greek salad I've ever eaten in my entire life, with grilled shrimp. The salad was MASSIVE. And I love big hearty salads. We ordered steak bits as an appetizer and they were SO good. The service was really fast. It's just really good quality food. The massive glasses they use for drinks never made it to the half full mark. I don't know, it's just a fun place, and we're going to be regulars

great place to eat good times too. try the pizza its real good.And the fish great.

My husband and I have been coming here for a few years now and it's our favorite neighborhood restaurant. We have gotten to know some of the owners and waitresses. They make us feel like family. We would highly recommend this place!

I absolutely love this bar. The food is great the prices are fair and the service is usually good. We have had a few times that we didn't get very good service, but out of the 40-50 times we have been here it has only happened twice.

I eat here all the time with my wife and never have had a bad experience. I usually get the super patty melt, which is always good. I wish they had some more beer on tap, but that's not a big deal I guess. Overall, I prefer Mallies, but the waitresses at Malarkey's are usually pretty smokin', so that's why the ambience was rated higher. If you like cute waitresses and hostesses, good burgers and comfortable seating, you'll like Malarkey's. There's not a lot of variety of food to pick from, but what they have is cooked well (although a little pricey).

Excellent food at a fair price. Large variety to choose from. It seemed very loud and was difficult to carry on a conversation, but it IS a Sports Bar. That's my opinion but not a complaint! We've always had excellent service except for a long wait trying to get the check. Employees are always friendly;Management is visible & speaks to customers, asking if everything is as desired.

This bar and grill is very overpriced and has very poor service. We had a party of eight and I did call ahead. The place was not busy at all and when we ordered our food we had two younger kids that were very hungry. I order some chips and salsa. Not only did it take 15 minutes for canned salsa and broken pieces of chips but it was not very good. My friend order the nacho meal and he could not even finish it due to all the "soup" at the bottom of the dish. He later that night was sick. hmmmm. Anyways, another friend asked the waitress if the bacon on the chicken salad was bacon bits or real bacon. She was told absolutely real bacon. When the salad arrived of course, it was not real bacon. Of the 6 adults that ate at this establishment none will return to this or any other Malarkey's.
