I have eaten Thai food in various major cities in the the United States and the length and breadth of Thailand. The Thai Tamarind Restaurant in Fort Myers is one of the best I have ever eaten in. A modest family place, the menu is filled with a variety of sauces and curries each with several meat options, It was so good that even though my wife and I are "restaurant hoppers" we tried a couple of other places (with small success) and simply at the rest of our dinners at this place. In a total of five meals each one was distinctive, ethnically correct, and seemingly better that the previous! It is very near Sanibel Island and the Sanibel Harbor Beach Resort and Spa.
