Shaners has THE BEST Pizza in Sarasota county. It is just like the Chicago thin crust with real chunks of sausage not the ground up sprinkles like others. I have friends that drive from Daytona Beach to eat at Shaners. I drive from Venice.

Dad and I have been regulars at Shaner's for years! I can't get him to depart from his usual spaghetti and meatballs to try something different but he loves it. The chicken parmesan is my personal favorite and the pizza is always a winner. When the kids are invited, they love to sit and dine from the comfy leather sofa and loveseat area while watching several sporting events on the TV's.

Excellent Italian food. Comfortable atmosphere. Nice staff. Restaurant was closed at the time of our original reservation. We came back the next day. And, our order got mixed up. But, on the whole, a wonderful restaurant.
