The food was MUCH better than one might expect from the general ambiance (or lack thereof). The ceviche de pescado is excellent, and the house corvina with the chimichurri was truly delicious, and came with very good grilled shrimp and a salad. Service was attentive and friendly. Will definitely return.

We took our friends to dinner earlier this year and we all thought the food was absolutely terrific. The owners are friendly and courteous and eager to please. The Sangria was delicious too. We might have liked a more extensive wine list, but that would be our only complaint (don't even want to call it a complaint!)
We are looking forward to our next visit (we live on Chincoteague Island, VA and visit our Sarasota friends every winter).
The restaurant is very small, so the seating is limited. But when we were there, the ambiance was terrific!

A small and delicious little place. Very nice people and the food is superb to say the least. Prices what they are on Main st. but over all there isn't anything to not like about Maemi. Overall it's a great place for lunch and dinner.

I was completely surprised by how exceptional the food was - I am from New York City and I was visiting and expected very little. To my surprise, the food, service and overall dining experience was wonderful. I will be back the next time I am in town!

Restaurant is over-rated and over priced. For the price you are better going to a restaurant with better ambience, service and better overall dining experience. CAUTION: The coupons available on line are a scam - don't get fooled..also, regardless of number of people dining, (2,4 or more) the restaurant automatically incorporates an 18% gratuity....outragous considering the quality of restaurant...do your wallet and appetite a favor and go elsewhere, if not both will be sour afterwards....
