Our group went in with reservations, the owner seated us a two separate tables - there were very few other people in there, so we moved the tables together - The lady owner came unglued! Started yelling at us about moving her tables around - who gave you authority to move those tables? Those are my ...
Had a great dining experience on 07/24. With a group of 18.This is a good family type restaurant. No frills, just good food and service. They had a full house, and looked like everyone was having a good time. We were not rushed, and everyone in our group was well satisfied. Food was moderatly priced ,...
I see the owner of the establishment is on here claiming that these anonymous people who complain are lying. My name is Bill Brooks, I was called an A**hole by her as I walked out the door - after complaining, civilly, that she had seated another couple in front of my wife and I after giving her out...
Gabatonis is the best ever. I know my whole family loves their pizza. (Im not a big pizza eater) I LOVE their Chicken Fetticini Alfredo!! Its wonderful. Great place
We started going here earlier this year - food is average - service is average - nothing spectacular or unique on the menu - just a place to eat - until - twice now, we've been shorted on side orders with our dinners and then tonight, the place was busy and there were 2 couples waiting to be seated,...

Fun place just for the experience. I'm not a huge corn dog fan, but hey, when you're here you gotta try them! My kids enjoyed it, but again, are not huge corn dog fans. I really like the hamburgers though and french fries were good. The onion rings were nothing special. Kids loved that you could...

It seems in the last year this place has been in a steady decline. The food all seems precooked and hardly ever hot, the waitresses I get always seem to be new or just inept, and their prices keep going higher and higher. After waiting a while to get waited on, and another 20 minutes for my food, I ...
Our food was ok, but a little pricey for the low quality. But while dining here I truely felt awful for the gal waiting on us, that owner really is horrible to her employees. I ended up spending more than I intended when I gave the waitress a nice sympathy tip.
It's a great family owned business. Food taste like a home cooked meal!
I am a frequent visitor of Amberjack Alehouse and will never stop going there. The owners are wonderful poeple who are always around and available to talk with. They take suggestions and comments very seriously. Great food, great atmosphere!
This is the 1st drive thru in the US. Opened in 1921 in Springfield IL. You can enjoy a loose meat burger with home made root beer! yummy! They are still in the original building and the original 1921 booths, they are a little small but part of a great history. I have been enjoying these for 38 year...
Worst Mothers Day ever!!!!! Went for Brunch had a reservation. My party and I were treated as if we were inconviencing the hostess (Later to find out she was the owner) The food smelled good but for the price, Hometown Buffet would have been equal in value. Bland and moderately warm describes th...

Was the rater from Chicago on something? We think this place is great! Food not at all like Chicago rater says. Great, great place to bring the kids! Interesting memorabilia and they are adding to it all the time. My first visits were as a kid in the 50's. Rediscovered it in the last 6 years and now...

Not a good place to eat!!much money comparing with quality!
As the owner of Amber Jack Alehouse, I can no longer refrain from responding to these outrageous accusations that have been written about me. These reviews are so inaccurate that the only way I can identify the complaint is by the date. We work very hard to provide good service, and we take great ...
If you enjoy grilling your own hand selected steak in a casual setting over an ice cold drink you found the place! Steaks are huge, tastey and fantastic. Worth the drive from Chicago!
The food was fairly good for the price but adding $.45 for a Caesar salad (as opposed to a house salad) is pretty ridiculous considering the difference between the two. In the future I would call ahead to see if the VERY rude hostess was working. Someone mentioned that she was one of the owners...i...

The man that runs the Hunan Express is friendly and really appreciates your business. He always has a smile on his face and the food is very good.

Great place for certain occassions. My son turned 16 and I took him here as a treat. Our waitress went out of her way to make his birthday dinner special. It was definately a meal to remember and I'm glad I chose to take him there for it. Food was okay but what I really liked was the personal at...
The food is not bad. A decent value for the money. The problem is with the owner. I've never had such a horrible experience dining out. I had the unfortunate experience of dining there yesterday and witnessed the owner (perhaps manager?....a large woman with a loud mouth -definately in charge) g...
