It seems in the last year this place has been in a steady decline. The food all seems precooked and hardly ever hot, the waitresses I get always seem to be new or just inept, and their prices keep going higher and higher. After waiting a while to get waited on, and another 20 minutes for my food, I paid over $10.00 for an omelette(which was made incorrectly), hash browns (which were rehydrated potatoes not cooked long enough), toast (never got my jelly), juice, and coffee (with sparce refills). I don't know where the owner was but she needs to get back to school.
I have eaten at this cafe on numerous, and have never revieved poor service or food quality. The atmosphere is simply charming, a wonderful to go for a quiet dinner or Sunday breakfast with the family! In my opinion, Parkway Cafe is the best of Springfield!!!

It's certainly a must see when visiting Springfield. We always make it one of our priorities when attending The Mother Road Route 66 Festival in September every year. I remember the old Dairy Queen and Cozy Drive In back in the 50's plus I'm very pro
