Soul Kitchen was a lively location with a very active and crowded bar area. Lots of young, upscale trendy singles and couples that try very hard to make this eatery as cool and understated as any you'd find in Manhattan or LA. The operative word is "try". Service was inattentive at best. And a...

Wine very good, bread basket outstanding, food overcooked and generally tasteless. Ripchen was dried out to the point of being tasteless. Fried potatoes were fried beyond eating they were so dry. As far as I was concerned it was a bad experience which I shall not repeat.

There are better places to go in Chicago for German food but you cant beat the Brauhaus for fun, cheesey, hoaky atmosphere and overall fun. The band is light and fun and I have always had a great time. The food is only average but the kitchen is spotless.

WAAAY TOO OVER-PRICED! My husband and I ate there for the morning buffet, & it cost us $30.00 for bacon, eggs, & bagels. Also, I didn't leave a tip on the tip line, & they just added in a tip for themselves! I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to ANYONE!
The service was horrible. Sorry, the pizza was great. We got there and were told there would be a 1/2 hour wait. OK. But then some people cam in about 15 minutes later and were told the same thing and were then seated with in 5 minutes. They forgot our apetizer. Brought my sons dinner out with ...
This was my first time at Sharks at this location. My first impression was that the place did not look clean. There were two young ladies ahead of me, so I asked them how was the food? They replied, good. So, I decided to try it. I ordred 10 wings and asked them not to give me any fries and the man ...
The food was amazing, the service seemed confused. I was asked what kind of salad dressing I wanted, but received no salad. My entree came with the wrong sauce.
I have eaten at the Chop House ten-plus times in the past but had not been a customer in the last few years. It was once my favorite place to eat in Chicago, but after last night’s visit, I have resolved never to return. Evidently others have come to the same conclusion, in that the dining room and...
First time round the steak was extremely overcooked, second time it was better but vegetables remained from first time and were cold! Service was poor - difficult to attract staff - took over 10 minutes before we could tell them about the steak. Sat in non-smoking area but had to move tables, alon...
the food was not good at all the short ribs were burned and in nasty white gravy the cabbage was like eating grass out the front yard. the service was horrible and my friends food was no better the window where the food is served from was just as nasty as the food

If you are ever asked to go out to this place decline and hang up the phone quick! Why? the so called caribean, morocan menu is limited the furniture looks used and is ugly the bathrooms are down stair in a very stinky basement and the service is awfull. overall its like being a house party thrown ...
My experience both recent and historic is less than favorable albeit memorable. my friend and I had reason for celebration and thought that perhaps the only Italian restaurant in the neighborhood had improved over the years. Ever the optomist I thought I would give it a try. Optimism in this ...
This restaurant is not a good place to eat. Today 1/8/09 I was there ordering lunch after convincing myself that to go there again after other bad experiences and this one topped the cake. I witnessed a worker eating food fries off of one plate and something else off another plate before ringing the...

Worst experience of my life! The food was not fresh and tasted bad. The owner started yelling at me and told me never to come back. Wow, that's great service!
Friends had a party where more than a dozen people got food poisoning from their beef stew. The public health department found more than 10 violations, 2 critical in their kitchen and were cited and later fined. (11/19/2007 Citation #H00003642715) A follow up showed some violations remained but we...
I had a horrible experience. Was asked to wait for our entire party to arrive before being seated. 40 minutes before food was served. Ordered medium well burger, was still red in the middle Bacon on my burger was burnt to a crisp ( black ) When I got my burger cooked again ( 5 minutes later ) t...

They throw napkins everywhere which is fun until you get your food. This particular waitress came over right when we got our food and started throwing napkins. My sister asked her to stop, at which point the waitress threw even more. My sister was visably annoyed and asked her to stop again, then th...

I had lunch at this location and received the worst possible service. First, after being seated, at least ten minutes passed before I finally tired of waiting and I had to ask a hostess who was staffing my table. She had to call the waiter to come to my table to greet me. Second, but more important...
Goose Island used to be a wonderful neighborhood brewpub but with the growth of the Lincoln Park neighborhood this establishment has begun to suffer -- most notably in the area of service. My most recent visit was by far one of the most excruciating experiences of my life. I was seated in the bar ar...
