Restaurant Description
Restaurants may come and go, but Angelina's has been around for over 20 years which should give you a little clue as to the delights that lie inside. Many restaurants don't open their doors until the early evening, but at Angelina's you can enjoy an incredible Champagne Sunday brunch, a tasty lunch menu, and a full dinner service, all served with a liberal sprinkling of Italian flair. This isn't a restaurant that has survived on reputation alone, and two decades after the doors first opened they are still serving quality Italian dishes at very affordable prices. Be sure to check out some of the great weekly specials that are on offer, with 1/2 price wine night on Mondays sure to be a favorite with many patrons. The service and setting are both excellent, and just one dining experience at Angelina's should be more than enough to tell you why they have been around so long.
My experience both recent and historic is less than favorable albeit memorable. my friend and I had reason for celebration and thought that perhaps the only Italian restaurant in the neighborhood had improved over the years. Ever the optomist I thought I would give it a try.
Optimism in this day and age is at best prehistoric. The food was cold, bland and the timing between courses was horrific. We were eating a salad and soup and was informed by the waiter that our food was waiting should he bring it now or later. The choice was do you want it hot or cold. I said bring it on. I was not prompt enough the food arrived tepid and bland not to be dedundant. I did not feel it necessary to send back tepid food for a warm up it would still be bland and perhaps overcooked. I had ordered a J&B scotch and water I had not had one for a long period of time so I was looking forward to a good scotch and water. It did not taste right. Iasked the waiter if he was sure it was J & B and water and he assured me it was. I did not drink the drink. There were so many apologies during the course of the meal I was getting depressed. The bill is presented and low and behold after receiving the wrong desert c, cold food, bland food There it was Jim Beam and water $8.00. The waiter had to yet apologize againso $110.00 dollars later I met the host/maitre'd and told him I had an unpleasant dinner and that it was medicore at any price. He offered that I was free to fill out a complaint card. With a rather insipid smirk on his face. pretencious beyond his credentials is my thought.

Excellent food and service. this is a long time family owned business and that alone should tell you that the quality is consistent. I would recommend Monastero's for any function. You will not be disappointed.
