This is one of Bakersfield finer Italian Restaurants. Food and portions are excellent. The lasagna has great flavor & a large portion. Well worth a try.
Worst red sauce I have ever had: weak, anemic, watery. Salad was pathetic. Place was packed. The pizza is great. Everything else was poor. My date was embarrassed to have suggested we dine there. Never again.
The owner is a friendly and gracious Italian man. The staff is sharp and helpfull. They have some great Italian food, including a couple originals. The thick, hearty pizza (not NY style) is one of showcase items and is among the best in Bakersfield.
This food is addictive! There's a reason they've been in business for so long. My grandparents used to take me here, and now I'm taking my children. Great restaurant; relaxing patio dining, too.
I've lived in Bakersfield and eaten basque food for over twenty years. There are a number of basque restaurants in Bakersfield and I think Benji's is the best. They have the best pickled tongue known to man and everything else is always consistantly excellent. I would recommend Benji's to anyone!

the saurbratten was a bit tough. however, the shnitzel was to die for. I was glad to have found this place over on the east side. We will come back.
I drove to eat there all the way from Burbank. It was worth it.
Everyone else is right--this IS the best Chinese food in Bakersfield! If you haven't eaten there please try it--you won't be sorry!

Without a doubt, the best Italian restaurant in Bakersfield, and the best that I have eaten at anywhere. I love their pizzas. It is well worth the drive to NE Bakersfield.
The food is good - especially the pizzas, but the service is terrible. I will say that I have only done carryout, but the promised times have never been kept, and usally run about double.
Bit Of Germany is a good restaurant, with good hearty authentic German food. I have absolutely no qualms about recommending this restaurant to others, for a fine meal. What I DO have qualms about, is a waitress named Denise, and her behavior towards men, whether married or not. Denise is the daughte...
I will admit it, THAT is how pizza should be done. The crust can't be beat! I was a little shocked at the inside. Not quite the "look" I was expecting at all. Service seemed a bit slow even though they weren't too busy. You better believe I'll be going back for take-out, though!
