Best Mexican food we've had in Bakersfield. The staff is great, the food is delicious - especially the Club Quesadillas! Yummmy! And you can definitely taste the tequila in the margaritas. That's a plus! The ambience is not formal, so it's a great family place. There is plenty of space to spread out...
Maria Bonita is a very good restaurant. The food is delicious and authentic. I especially like their Sunday brunch.
Some of the best mexican food in Bakersfield and there plenty mexican restaurants to choose from. I always get the steak fajitas and a cool margarita....or two.
This a cafe in a town full of wantabe cafes. think about this bakersfield has lots of starbucks, "the McDanalds of cafes", but as far as real cafes there are only a handful around. It's nice to have a place to go with freindly people to talk with.

The pizza is just average. Not too bad, but not too great. Not as impressive as I thought it would be with the great hype it has received. The crust while deep dish, is also burnt. However, they gave a fair amount of toppings. A few blocks from BJ's Pizza, I would just as much order from BJ"s next ...
Food Quality: The taste is very mundane almost leading to cafeteria style taste at least for the pasta entries.
Dining In: A little dirty and rundown looking inside with dirty white lawn chairs
Service: Nothing but teenagers running the place who are all struggling to learn how to operate a pizza ...
Great Pizza!
I will admit it, THAT is how pizza should be done. The crust can't be beat! I was a little shocked at the inside. Not quite the "look" I was expecting at all. Service seemed a bit slow even though they weren't too busy. You better believe I'll be going back for take-out, though!

Plumberry's is a great restaurant with a great atmosphere. The food is wonderful and the people are friendly. I reccomend going there for any occasion.

The owner is a friendly and gracious Italian man. The staff is sharp and helpfull. They have some great Italian food, including a couple originals. The thick, hearty pizza (not NY style) is one of showcase items and is among the best in Bakersfield.

not good. i expected a lot more than i recieved; from the outside it looked pretty good, but that was deceiving. The owner was a jerk, not professional.
looks and feels like a biker hangout. i love the old bar back and vibe of 19th century bako, but that was destroyed by the patronage. The mananger should have a sitdown with the owner and decide who's welcome and who's not.
