Bad service.... not worth your time or money. The owner and manager need some major training in the hospitality and restaurant business.

Food not worth talking about and definately not worth what they are charging for it.

Overall, avoid this place for sure.

Indian, Ethnic Setting, Candy/Dessert Shop
Very good blend of spices, not too mild not too strong. I would say top ranking Indian restaurant in Metro Detroit area. I used to love the taste at Rangoli but Ashoka has done better lately.

Will not go back to this restaurant ever again. Very bad service and rude manager to begin with and below average food. Double thumbs down.

This by far, is the worst Indian Restaurant in the country. The wait staff is terrible and the manager needs a brain exam and a lesson in basic manners. There is one waitress taking care of the 25 to 30 tables they have in the restaurant, along with one assistant who does not know what time of the day it is. The manager/ receptionist greets you , seats you, gives you water ( when she feels like it, if at all), cleans the tables and brings you drinks. The waitress, who lookes like is she is the harrassed mother of 10, barks out " what do you want for dinner?". The average price in this restaurant are between $13-$17 / entree and the waitress acts like it is a roadside diner. Takes your order and brings all your food out together along with a take away box and check. I think the local Dennys have more class than this place. There is not chance for you to order another drink, bread, dessert or coffee... something which most couples like to do when they are dining outside on a Sat night!! The manager/ receptionist, who is the rudest person in that establishment walks around throwing plates and silverware on to the tables even though guests are seated there. Be sure to duck your heads before the plates come flying at you!! She sure must hate her job or something!! The food was below average and not worth writing about... but the service was terrible. Overrall, the experience was disgusting in everyway. Please do not waste your money and time at this utterly useless place. It is just not worth it

New Year 2008 ruined
I will never come back to this restaraunt for the rest of my life and make sure everyone I know don't either. We reached at 8pm and didn't get our dinner until 11pm. We didn't get enough food for the service for party of 17. They overcharged us enormously.
Waiter service very poor, it took them forever to take our orders.
Gay place period. Only a stupid Indian would go to this restaraunt next time. I am an Indian, but not stupid. They also keep the emergency fire door locked. What would happen if this place caught on fire? No one would be able to get out in time.
Oh, on top of all that, they actually expect people to pay $15/person to dance to the worst D.J. they got!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I also don't think anyone takes care of this place, it had food all over the carpet. I will make sure no one comes to this restaurant.
Talked with management, they wouldn't even listen to us. Is this the how you make LOYAL CUSTOMERS? We left the party at 11:30pm and had our new year party going home in the car this year. Very disappointed with the slow service, bad food, rice looked like it was made 2 months ago, poor customer service.

i actually think it's a 3 but because the last person only gave Priya 1 star, i thought i'd balance it out, but the food is good, i suggest my favorite dish - chicken makhani (butter chicken).
