My brother-in-law and his wife had been too busy to celebrate their recent wedding anniversary. I called Lori and asked her if she could make this luncheon dinner on Saturday, Oct 2, 2010 around 2pm memorable. She said yes. When my wife and I and my brother-in-law and his wife arrived, Lori led us to our table and provided us with service that was as smooth and efficient as you would find in a pricey restaurant while still tending to the other patrons. We enjoyed 3 of the John’s Sirloin Luncheon Steak dinners and my brother-in-law opted for the Chicken Breast Sandwich and a bowl of soup. Lori kept our glasses full and table cleared of dishes. With a clean table and the dinner bill expected, Lori presented my brother-in-law and his wife with a slice of very chocolaty cake, even wishing them a happy anniversary. They were pleasantly surprised. Robert Maxon’s goal of giving his customers great food, great service with a warm and friendly atmosphere has been met. I recommend “The New” John’s Steak and Seafood Restaurant, especially to the “over 40 crowd.”

THE BEST IN OLDIES DOO-WOP MUSIC!!! The transformation of this restaurant from its previous owners is impressive. Great new look, great food, and Great Entertainment. If you love the oldies Doo Wop music this is the place to come to. Especially the group "LIL DEUCE COUPE", and "THE BELAIRS". The Belairs will be performing there this weekend November 7th. Great Harmonies, and comically entertaining. True Professionals. The service and personale are friendly and they dress up in the style of the 50s. Come early as seating gets full quickly.

I've eaten at Johns at least 2 dozen times since the current owners bought it. It's the best meal for the money you'll find. The entertainment is tops, and the trivia game is fun!

The Pianist during the winter months is fantastic. I would go for the entertainment value alone.
Heard that new owners had improved things. But when I called to make a reservation for Mother's Day they told me that they would not do it for parties of less than 5 people. That I should go there and take my chances at the last minute. Not very polite. I told them I would be dining elsewhere with my parents. Sure sounds like they are getting good at ticking off the public. I am taking my money somwhere else. John's does not appear to want our business

food over cooked, fish not cooked all the way thru... fried food too greasy. wont go there again- also, very dirty and have seen two baby cockroaches there

I when to John's Last Week and had Prime Rib. It was the best. Cooked Just Right and very very good...Will go back!!
