I have patronized this restaurant since the late 70s. They have the best spinach pie and vegetarian lentil soup that I have ever had. The falafel sandwich is also superb. When I come back to Minnesota, Java is usually my first stop.

A friend of mine got me to visit Java Restaurant a few years ago and I have been hooked ever since. I think they have the best tabbouleh salad in the area and their hummus and falafel are also very good. I would recommend visiting during the week though. I ate there on a few Sundays and the service was below my expectations (the waiter was sleeping when I arrived!) Nevertheless, I believe they have the best Middle Eastern food in the Twin Cities with very reasonable prices.

The biriyani is too good . The gravies are not too colored. Adequate spices for the curries, Lassi is good. The takeout is better than the buffet lunch dishes.

My first date with my now husband was at Java 14 years ago and their food keeps us coming back, I love their gyros the tahini sauce makes it unique, my husband loves their hummos and kabobs, our son loves the tangy, spicy wonderful wings. Sometimes we get the combos and share. WE LOVE THIS RESTAURANT, NO ONE ELSE COMPARES!

I having been eating Javas food since they were on hennipen ave in downtown minneapolis. And since my first bite from the womb they are hands down one of the best Middle Eastern/Egyptian restaurants in the Twin Cities. Their Hummos is outstandins and always fresh, sometimes more garlicky sometimes less but always quality and home made.

I abosulutely LOVE this restaurant Ive tried some of the other Greek restaurants in town like Jerusalems, Falafel King, Its Greek to me, etc... but I by far like Java the best there fried vegetables are the best by far along with there hummus...they also offer a very tasty and powerful garlic sauce that no other greek restaurant in town offers...if you want authentic greek food try Java Ive traveled all over the world and have tried whats been called the "best" but when I come back home I realize and feel lucky that the true "BEST" is just a few miles away from my house....Thanks Java!!!
