Okay, it is very expensive. Do not go here for dinner unless you are willing to spend $$$. Lunch is more reasonable. Getting that out of the way, the food, drinks and service are excellent. The attention to detail includes a person who stages your food on the plate and makes sure the food and plate are perfect before your server delivers the food. Dark wood eveywhere, thick cushions on the seats ... class. May be the best in Greensboro.

We went to Gate City for my birthday this year and had a wonderful experience. I completely disagree with the previous reviewer's comments that you cannot have a great dinner on a budget here. We also ordered the dinner for two, the Chateaubriand Filet which comes with soup or salad for each of you, and a generous portion of filet accompanied by two sides each. We had the she-crab soup, and chose sauteed mushrooms in a cabernet sauce, sauteed spinach, and mashed potatoes (2 orders) for our sides. Everything tasted wonderful, the steak was cooked to perfection, and the service was flawless. If there was a higher rating for service than 5 stars, they deserve it. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant!
I frequent Arigato with my boyfriend and we are never dissatisfied! The wait staff is always nice and never let your glass get half empty. Add to that experienced chefs and AWESOME food and Arigato always results in an awesome dining experience!

My family, my friends, and myself are all fans of Arigato! We haven't been to the one in Winston Salem, but we frequent the Greensboro location often!
The food is always delicious, and I have no complaints about the portion sizes. The pricing on

Love the firepits and huge NC craft beer selection. Steaks and baby back ribs were great. Beignets were very authentic. Friendly staff and bartenders. We'll be back!
Love the wood fired grill flavor in the steaks. I don't know of anyone else cooking Certified Angus Beef over wood in the area. The outdoor firepits are really cool too - I'll be back to try smores out there next time. The craft beer list features lo

Let me begin by saying that I think you can have an excellent dinner at this restaurant...if you have $50 per person to spend. We tried to go the frugal way and ordered the Dinner for Two special which includes Soup/Salad, 6oz fillet or chix breast, or salmon steak, one side dish, and dessert all for $50. Sounds like a deal, right? Well, our dinner started off with a sizzle with AWESOME she crab soup and hot rolls but progressed to a fizzle rather quickly. Don't order the twice baked potato. It is day old mashed potatos reheated in a potato skin with cheese on top. The fillet was good, the salmon was over cooked and nothing to write home about. But, we thought, the dessert will get us back on track. With the dessert menu brimming with things like double chocolate suicide cake and bananas foster we were bound to hit a winner...wrong! We weren't allowed to choose off the desert menu and were served the lamest week old biscuits with budget ice cream and low quality canned pie filling on top. They didn't even splurge for whipped cream which makes anything better! We couldn't even eat it...no kidding! The waiter was very attentive with my drink and had I ordered a baked potato and had a real dessert I think we would have had an entirely different experience. Just don't try to have a gourmet meal on a shoestring budget...this is one restaurant where you get what you pay for...and maybe less.
