If you are looking for Chinese food in Clarkston, the location is not much different than much of our town. However if you are used to downtown or Buckhead dining, the restaurant could be described as a bit of a hole in the wall. However, compared to other restaurants in the area with similar prices, the food is much higher quality. The chicken is tender and high grade, with none of the empty lumps of fried shell and sauce that you might see elsewhere. The service is friendly and not perfunctory, but timely. I have not yet tried the wings, which I have heard are the best in town, but I see many customers, some regulars, come in and out when I go. The "gyoza", or pot-stickers/dumplings, are really superb and come with excellent sauce. At 8 pieces under 4 dollars, make sure you select that as an appetizer if you go.

This is one of my favorite places to dine and have a cold beer. I am reluctance to share this quaint and fabulous spot, not to would be sinful. The food is sensational and always cooked to order. The staff amazingly familial.

I have had the best experience in this restaurant. The food is great specially the chicken and the chef is fantastic.

This is the best Chinese take out I have ever been to in Atlanta (Clarkston). I'm from Los Angeles and I always eat chinese food. When I moved out here I never thought I could find another great chinese place to eat until now. They have the best braized wings I have ever taste. My wife and i go there at least twice or three times a week. My kids love they chicken nuggets, and they food are so affordable. I hope they never change.

I got take out one night from this place, and to be honest, the area it is located in is not the best. The inside is generi-restaurant, but the thing about the Red Lantern that has won my complete devotion (and I am a raving maniacal chinese-food-eater) is the flavor of the food, the outstanding service, and the fact that they buy all their vegetables fresh from the farmer's market every day. I also, incidentally, love the farmer's market. I had the szechuan chicken and an order of the best egg rolls I have ever eaten. My friend got Moo Goo Gai Pan and felt the same way I did. I was carrying the order back to work and the lady behind the counter not only arranged the containers neatly in a box, but everything was labelled as to what was inside. Perfect chinese takeout experience. I suggest everyone in Clarkston and the surrounding areas make this their ONLY Chinese Restaurant.
