One of the best restaurants my husband and I have been too. The service was excellent as well as everything else. From the salad to the entree to the dessert everything was phenomenal. Each had different salads both were delicious. Bread came with butter and a dish with olive oil and garlic which made the bread even better tasting. My husband had the Fillet Mignon which was cooked to perfection and he said was the best he has had. His entree came with fresh asparagus and roasted red potatoes which were perfect. I had Prime Rib which was the best I have ever had with practically no fat at all cooked to perfection. My entree only came with roasted garlic mashed potatoes that were real potatoes which were awesome. Then the wine and dessert which we both shared was yummy. We had two versions of creme bur lay with whip cream and fresh strawberries. Prices are a bit pricey, but definitely worth every penny. We each tried eachother's food and it was yummy to our tummies. We are definitely going back. 5 star highly recommended restaurant. Only draw back is forced valet parking unless you want to walk a bit as parking lot isn't big enough and they have to park cars across the street in another parking lot. If you go ask to be seated in the lounge next to outside patio or sit on the patio and get a nice view of the river.

Having lived in Downingtown for a decade, it's great to see a restaurant like FireCreek make a marked improvement on the architecture and curb appeal of Downingtown which has benefited from a mini-cultural revival of late.

The unfortunate thing is that the ownership of FireCreek got it right with ambiance, but wrong with the customer service. I've tried the place 3 times and here are some examples to prepare for:

1) Valet Parking at the restaurant is forced on customers. They are also known to lie and tell you they are allowed to use the adjacent Bank's parking lot, however this isn't true. It's very snobby to not allow some sort of non-valet option. Even 4 and 5 star restaurants wouldn't do this.

2) We were told you can't sit outside on their deck and have drinks unless you purchase food. So basically this restaurant feels that there should be rules to how you engage your customer. Note, there were 12 people in the restaurant at the time.

3) One of the female bartenders insulted a woman in our party of 6. She was obnoxious and degrading. We asked for another bartender. He was a nice young guy, very pleasant.

They are really close to excellence at FireCreek once they drop the rules and snob act.

What a beautiful place..The building renovations and ambiance are breathtaking. We dined here this past Saturday night, and we were really impressed. Being a new restaurant, you expect flaws and bumps in the road, but Firecreek lacks this!!! We ordered the mussels and calamari for the table and, the waitress was right, the calamari is one of a kind!  The wine list was also well priced, but could use some more variety.  Our steaks (most of us ordered Filet) were perfectly seasoned and delicious. Although one of the steaks had to be sent back for being overcooked, our waitress was right on top of it, apologizing and quickly returned the steak to the kitchen, where we could see her stand and wait for a new Filet. Within minutes she returned with a perfectly cooked Medium rare steak, which was equally delicious. We all really enjoyed our food, our server, Melanie, was perfect; she is exactly the kind of server many restaurants lack, and our overall experience was great. This is exactly what Downingtown needed and we cannot wait to go back!!!

totally disappointed for as meal of a total of 90 dollars-this place does not compare to the established Four Dogs or Marsallton Inn-not worth a visit for what was advertized as a find.

Disappointed. Need to offer a chicken entree on the menu for those who do not eat red meat or seafood! although I am willing to pay $8.00 and more for a glass of nice wine, $8.00 for a domestic light beer is ridiculous!

OUTSTANDING! We moved here from the river communities of Bucks County where excellent restaurants are everywhere. Finally, we have found a place that has amazingly fresh, delicious food; ample friendly staff; and a great wine list. I only wish there were more wine-by-the-glass selections. Expensive - but worth every penny.

Absolutely beautiful facility!!! Tremendous addition to the Downingtown area. Constructive criticism: we sat in a dining room off to the right of the main entrance-stone walls, hardwood floor with a high ceiling. Unfortunately, we were unable to hear one word our server said to us, let alone any of the conversations the four of us were trying to have with each other because of the extremely high noise level in the room. We were not the only ones to notice this deafening noise level. An accoustical adjustment needs to be made in the room. Several other diners in the room appeared to be annoyed by the same concern. Other than this concern we were all totally impressed by Firecreek and will make sure we ask for a table in a different location in the future.

The best prime rib I have EVER had anywhere. The varied ambience is all outstanding from an outdoor seating area next to the river, nice large bar section, dining area, and separate room which I imagine is for events.

This place is fantastic. The steaks were prepared perfectly, which you would think would be the one thing a steakhouse could get right - trust me, from many steakhouses in the area - this is a problem. The mac and cheese is out of this world, as are the ice cream sandwich sliders - I really can't wait to get back to this place. The burgers looked unreal. Yeah for Downingtown and all those in close proximity!! Hope you like it as much as my husband and i did!

Dined at Fire Creek last night, after they'd been open for two weeks. The kitchen rocks with excellent steaks and presentation. We'll go back and try some of the terrific looking seafood entrees. If I had one complaint, I ordered a wine by the glass to top off my evening. The pour was unusually stingy. Not sure what was going on since I saw other glasses pass by on there way to customers with perfectly respectable pours. Neverthless, Fire Creek will make Downingtown a definite restaurant destination for the area.

Very pricey but great food.
They don't have a happy hour like other upscale restaurants, i.e. The Brickside, The Drafting Room.
The patio and interior decor is topnotch!

This should become "THE" place for fine dining in the Downingtown/Chester Springs area. Excellent food, good portions in a beautifully renovated building. Firecreek has a great patio on which to sit and enjoy a drink with friends. Expect to pay maximum dollar - but having enjoyed our wonderful evening, we will save up to go again.

FIRECREEK is opening to the public this Monday (March 23rd) ... We were there for a "soft opening" on Tuesday night and it was amazing. Ask for "Andrew" to be your server, he doesnt miss a beat when it comes to great service and recommended three really great dishes for us.... This place is going to put Downingtown on the map!!!
