High Point Restaurant Guide

We had a wonderful time here. We actually had never thought about trying something new until we heard their advertisements about 2 can dine for $30. We decided this would fit our budget and actually went out on a non "date" night. We loved it! It really is a different experience watching the chef prepare the food in front of you. Dinner was fantastic. We highly reccomend.

This is the perfect place for my family. We all have our favorite menu choices and we even know some of the chefs by name. My personal favorite is the sushi and Chef Moon always takes excellent care. We have been looking for a place like this since we moved here five years ago and nothing compares to the experience my family receives.

I have been at Fire and Stix 3 times since September 2009,Twice for dinner and once for lunch, they don't put on a show at lunch....? Each time had the same Cook, food was always great I always get the scallops.. last time for lunch got chicken No complaints on food or Cleanliness Just seemed like the cook wasn't into his job socially/entertaining???

I drove 200 miles to celebrate dinner with my son and his wife. I told the host it was my son's birthday and as we left I saw another party with a birthday cake. At no time, did anyone offer, suggest or mention that cake was available, at a charge and I felt disappointed that I didn't know.
For the price I paid, I could have just sent a card with a big check.
I was disappointed, and the restaurant was COLD.
We ate with our coats on!

Per my experience the service was slow and incompetent. The waiter did not take our order correctly and failed to make it right. Our sushi order took 60 minutes to arrive. After spending $100.00 and feeling the service and food was only worth $45.00 I'll never eat there again.

We ate here for my birthday March 18th. The service was slow. The food was so,so. The chef was nice. The waiter was overworked. Something must have been wrong with the scallops. I only ate one and a half. 5 minutes later I had to excuse myself from the table and promptly lost my dinner upon arriving in the bathroom. The bathroom smelled like raw sewage as well as the loby. Aparently they were having plumbing problems after we arrived because it didn't smell like that when we arrived. Over all my family was not impressed. The only nice thing was the decor.

Ambience is awesome and especially for a business lunch. However, the food just did not match in quality. I ordered the filet mignon and it was a bit tough. I'm not sure if it was the quality of the meat or just overcooked. Don't get me wrong, the food is not bad by any means but just not what I come to expect especially for the price. This is a nice place if you don't have picky food critics that are just looking for a nice evening out with some interesting cooks that perform right in front of you.

The decor is very nice and it does good business from what we could tell when we went one Saturday night. I feel like it is too much "show" though and not enough quality in the food. My chicken breast was thoroughly over cooked and I could see it happening right before my eyes. The food in general was just ok. For the price it should have been very good. I will probably try somewhere else next time I'm in the mood for a Japanese Steak House.
