DaVinci's Restaurant in Salem, Oregon is wonderful in every regard. The food is beyond expectation and served in a very elegant manner. The owner, Mo, makes you feel very welcome. Mo has an extensive wine selection and is exceptionally knowledgeable about each and every wine. The restaurant itself looks as though it were designed by an interior decorator. My husband and I dine here when we are in the Portland, Salem area on business and I would highly recommend this divine restaurant to everyone. Thank you Mo!

Thought selection was great. Qaulity is very good, bland, but very good. They also have a spice bar so you can spice it up as much as you like. If you walk away hungry it's your fault. Overall, I would say that they cater to the older generation bu ...

We are seniors who have dined in many seafood restaurants on the Southern California coasts and endorse MacGrath's on Chemeketa in Salem, OR, for the taste and value of their halibut and trout -- as good as we have found anywhere. Enjoy!

Vietnamese is my favorite ethnic food. This rates right up with Pho Oregon and Pho Van in Portland. The Bun Dac Biet was piled with tasty grilled meat and shrimp. The Super Com Platter featured a delicious fried pork chop. We loved this place an ...

By far the best dining experience we've had south of Portland. A must stop on our way back from Beaver games -- great martinis, excellent filet mignons, Oregon Pinots, and nonstop service. And did I mention it is also the best art gallery in the stat ...

Worst Restaurant experience I've ever had. Busy weekend night - Understandable. Put on a wait list for an hour and a half later - Can deal with that. Went to check on the progress an hour later. Noticed that were names added before mine that weren't there before. Asked the host and he said he'd take care of me. Half hour later still waiting. Back up I go - Different host explained the situation and again "don't worry-I'll take care of you-my friend" Another half hour later and a half hour after we should have been seated - Went up to the host an asked to speak with the manager - who was the host. He proceeded to very defensive - Unhelpful and unprofessional. He kept calling me "My friend" and I had to inform him he wasn't my friend and if I was I hope he doesn't treat his friends this poorly. We paid our bar bill and left. I will never eat there again, I'm canceling my annual holiday event and will do my best to relay my experience to all who care to listen. Bar is Great, Music is Great, Food was great before. Manager needs a long vacation!

I took my company to DaVinci for a christmas party, the set menu perfectly satisfied everyone's taste, we all agreed that this was by far the finest christmas party we have ever had! I recommend this BEAUTIFUL restaurant with fantastic service to anyone and everyone!!!
I am well traveled...been to many fine restaurant's all over the world; salem definitely has a treasure! Quite strange to hear some of the other reviews..very far from the truth. You'll have to see for yourself!

This is a fantastic restaraunt. It carries the old charm of an upscale bar and restaraunt. The food is delicious and there is an extensive wine selection (I love Italian wines!). It does get busy sometimes, and at times a bit noisy but people go there to enjoy themselves, the atmosphere, and the food. The music there sets a nice tone and sometimes a piano player comes throughout the week. What I especially love is the fact that the owner usually comes to say hello. I have dined out at DaVinvi's about a dozen times and have yet to be disappointed. I hope that your experience is also enjoyable.

We've been eating out in Salem for several years -- and Da Vinci's had been one of our favorites. But now the staff and service are very spotty, the food so-so, and the atmosphere . . . a bit contrived. And it is very, very noisy. Too noisy to want to come back. AWWWFFUULL NOISY!

Love the food. The bar is one of the nicest in Salem (though I miss the old bartender, Carl). HOWEVER..... the reason I don't eat at this restaurant more often is that it is thunderingly noisy!!!! This restaurant has the food and ambience that would beautifully suit a romantic dinner EXCEPT for the fact that it is impossible to speak softly to the people at your table due to the excessive noise. Wonder why Mr. Afshar has not considered softening the sound with baffles on the ceiling/walls??? Also I have found service to be erratic. Sometimes it's great and sometimes only so-so -- do they have standardized staff training?
