was in for dinner 7-31-10, brought along 13 friends (most first time dners here) to share this lovely experience because I think A. is one of the best places around. Still do, but my faith is a bit shaken in that when I mentioned several of us found the salads we had to be too salty (couldn't eat mine) and also mentioned my entre was also too salty, (again couldn't eat it) I was met with argument from the kitchen. Was told that couldn't be. End of story. No empathy, no mention of any correction of the problem--just- a "that's how it is" air. As a paying customer I resent being treated as if my satisfaction with the purchased items are of no consequence. I left saddened by this whole thing, and I know some of the friends with me won't come back, (which is a shame because A. is, in spite of this glitch, a wonderful restuarant.) The wait person, by the way, was very good and, I think, tried to deliver the "verdict" from the kitchen as graciously as she could.

It is one ot the three finest resturants in Salem, and it probably has the finest, most eclectic menu. Don't be put off by the idiots who want fast food. It is a European restaurant, and the service is not slow; it is leisurely. Yes, they are sometimes short one or two food servers, but the food is magnificent and so is the ambiance. The two jerks who complained should get together for a Big Mac and fries and leave the fine dining to those of us who really apprecicate it.

I gave Gamberetti's a five star overall because my entire dining experience was amazing. Loved the happy hour (Lemoncello yumm!!)Meatball sliders, mini calzone,,and the ingredients were all fresh. Made all the difference in flavor. Go check it out, ...

As and Irish woman I like this place. The sheperds pie is good. Not like home, but not a bad place for Fish and Chips and a pint.

Excellent food. Great prices. If you haven't tried the chicken mole you don't know what you're missing! And the tortillas are amazing.

The food at this place is incredible. I would recommend either the Macedonia Plate, or the Villagers plate. Both of these plates offer a variety of greek specialties and are reasonably priced. The service was top of the line. We had a young woman ...

I so wanted to like this restaurant--Salem is in need. However, I found the service slow, and the food overpriced and much less exciting than the menu promised. I get the feeling the place is trying to be something it's not.

We had a reservation at 7 and weren't waited on until 7:30. Our complimentary appetizers arrived at 8, salads at 8:30 we finally left the place at 9:30. Only 1 server for a busy Saturday. Food was just okay. Mac & Cheese was more like fat pasta noodles. Salmon quiche was bland. Went there for a birthday & the birthday girl thought she was being punked. Never again.

Diana is such an amazing chef! When we went for a lunch, one afternoon, we were blown away at how amazing everything tasted! She makes everything herself!

We went here to celebrate my birthday, and we enjoyed a terrific dining experience. The atmosphere is classy, but not stuffy, the food was delicious -- and portion sizes were just right. When the chef found out that it was my birthday, a giant piece of dessert was on its way to our table. And, to top it all off, the prices were very reasonable. I would definitely reccomend this little hidden gem.

Dianna is an incredible chef. We did a wedding rehearsal dinner and I can't say enough how wonderful everything was. The dinner was impeccable. NO complaints, at all. Don't ruin a great evening by bringing the kids. This is really a romantic, classy fine restaurant that you should bring your child to only for a special occasion dressed up. This is Salem's best kept secret for a restaurant and beats them all.

The way this place feels- it's like eating with family, but better. It's comfortable, the food is great, and you can have cake before you eat dinner if you want.

Last Valentine's Day was by far the worst experience I've ever had. We made reservations at 7:30 for six people. Amadeus was packed in their normal seating area - and they had tables crammed into every nook and cranny that was normally nice open space. We STOOD in the waiting area for an hour and a half. When we were finally seated by our pregnant server...we had no wine glasses...no nothing. Then waiting another hour they had run out of the vegetarian meal. Wine glasses still unwashed, we served ourselves in regular glasses from a bottle we found by ourselves. Then our pregnant server had to leave (possibly to have her baby) AND her man, who worked there also, naturally left with her. Now we have even fewer servers...it was a fiasco. They over-booked, trusted that a pregnant server could stick it out.. all for greed. They should have said, "Im sorry, we're booked." We all learned our lesson -- NEVER dine out on a holiday unless we have the time and patience of a saint. This year we're going elsewhere a week early.

Food was excellent, however service was horrible and always has been. It took twenty minutes to get a drink order in. HELLO? A waiter brought water after ten minutes but didnt even ask if we needed anything.

We went for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed it! It has been recently redone, and the ambiance is warm and relaxing. There was no rush to get us to pay the bill and scram, and our server was funny and engaging. Like it, love it, I'd do it again!

We met Dianna the Chef...Dianna, Priscilla here, you lived up to more than everything in our rehearsal dinner for 45 people! The best steak, duck and salmon and everyone appreciated your first class cooking. Bless you Dianna, Bless you for how wonderful this restaurant is!!

Reading the reviews, I thought I had written them all!

I love Amadeus Cafe and think Salem is so fortunate to have a chef so passionate about food.

I have never had a bad meal at Amadeus and eat there 1-2x per month. I would eat there everyday but I would probably be as big as a house because I couldn't resist anything on the menu as it's all fabulous.

I am treated special everytime... you would think I was the favorite aunty they haven't seen me for 5 years.

My favorite thing about Amadeus Cafe is the overall dining experience. They are in no rush to get you fed and out the door- that's a positive thing. Their market is not to turn every table 3-4x in an evening. You can enjoy your meal and take your time with talk and savor your food slowly... just what a dining experience should be.... great food, good wine and great talk.

I've eaten at Amadeus for many years starting when they where located in the Salem Library. Who cares if they are now in an office building... you go for the food which is fabulous.

I think this restaurant can go up against any other fine dining establishment anywhere without hesitation.

The food has flavor beyond compare and I would highly recomend dining there for lunch or dinner.

I love Amadeus! The food is excellent! Very unassuming little place but you can't go wrong if you are looking for something tasty to eat. The hummus is a must-try and the desserts - to die for!

I've eaten at Amadeus several times and have yet to have a bad meal, the menu has variety & the food rich flavors, it's difficult to find a favorite as they're ALL so good!
The service does need some improvement, as they've been busy when I've been there ... otherwise definately a good meal experience!

Food was very greasy. The atmosphere is somewhat bizzare (restaurant is in an office building). Decent service. Would not return for dinner. May be fine for lunch.
