My boyfriend and I spend a lot of time in Pleasant Hill and one night decided to try Clays for something different. We found it and now we go there about once a week. We love it! The pasta is great. The steak melts in your mouth and the service is amazing.

This is one of my husband's favorite restaurants. He likes to meet up with his buddies and have a nice steak and salad.
I like Clay's because the ambiance is not like the glaringly bright, noisy, trendy restaurants that are popping up. I enjoy being able to take our time with dinner and being able to "visit" with our dinner mates.
I am surprising my husband tonight. About 15 of his friends are meeting up with us for dinner for his birthday.
The location is great since several of us are driving up from the Pella area and we have friends from West Des Moines meeting us.
We get tired of driving to West Des Moines' locations and it is so nice to have a quality restaurant close by.
The service is superb and is only surpassed by the quality of food.
We love the fact the owner/manager visits with us at every opportunity. Coming from small towns like Monroe and Pella, it is nice to feel a part of the family.
I can't wait to see my husband's face when everyone shows up. :)

I love this place it is a favorite spot. The food is always pleasing to the eye, piping hot, and delicious. Portions compared to price are great! The staff are friendly. Atmosphere is fine dinning but not the high cost. Onion rings are yummy!
