Excellent restaurant, but for those of you who have dined here previously, the old location has been sold, and Summer House has moved. It's now on the island in a brand new building. Still great food, still great service, still great ambience (although surrounded by "gentlemen's clubs" ) but in a new place.

April 9, 2005 Service was wonderful. The wait staff was classy and attentive. The inside of the restaurant is simple elegant but for such an upscale dining facility the view was extremely disappointing considering the property is surrounded by three gentleman clubs. The food was wonderful but I must say I ordered my filet med/rare and it mooooo'd at me when I cut into it. I politely sent it back to be cooked a little more but came out still extremely rare. The quality of the filet was extraordinary but repeatedly cooked incorrectly. I would recommend ordering your meat at this restaurant a little more well done than you normally do. The Summerhouse has great potential and feel that maybe we hit it on a bad night so we will eventually give it a second chance.
We ate at the Thai House for the first time and the waitress was helpful in explaining the different dishes. The food was very good. When we were leaving my husband picked up the chopstix we had used at dinner along with the leftovers. We got to the

I would not dine at this restaurant ever again, nor would I recommend it to anyone. There is just really nothing good about this place. They overcharge for the amount of food you get, and it doesn't even taste that good. The waitress was very surl

Wow. My husband and I dined at the Summerhouse for our 5 year anniversary. Wow. The food was amazing. I had a peppercorn encrusted filet with garlic mashed potatoes and string zucchini and my husband had the salmon. we shared. both dishes were FAB. Everytime i blinked, my drink was full. The service was great. I called ahead to make reservations and we were seated almost immediately. TRY to get a table by the window so you can have an awesome view. We would go back but this time, we'll have our 2 yr old son. This is a nice place. they accept children, but this is not a place you'd want to take your kids.

One of my all time favorites in Ft. Walton Beach. One of the few places in the city to get a truly gourmet meal. Excellent!

We plan on eating at the Summerhouse at least 2-3 times everytime we're in Fort Walton - usually that's at least twice a year...the food, service and ambience have always been consistently outstanding.
