As soon as I walked in and saw the low sanitary score on the wall and the smell of old fish, I knew this was not going to be the restaurant at the beach it tries to make it self out to be. Pretty much the food was not good, came out cold and the bartenders poured me and my wife weak drinks. Its $15...
Henry James is the BBQ Grandpappy in High Point. I've noticed that a couple of BBQ restaurants that have popped up in the area are from former employees of Henry James. Their BBQ is OK, but they haven't quite perfected it like Henry James. Plus, Henry James family of employees are just good folks! H...

Gianno's is a fun restaurant to come and relax with friends or family. It is casual yet elegant and appropriate for a variety of functions. The food is absolutely excellent and includes something for even your pickiest eater. It does get quite crowded on weekends, so take advantage of their call-ahe...

Ate here with two adult colleagues for dinner upon recommendatin of where we were staying. Warm welcome, booth in non-smoking section was provided immediately (we arrive about 6:15pm on a Tuesday night). Took a few minutes for our server to appear, but after she did, we got good service from her a...

I took my wife to Steak Street for Valentines Day and actually remember the other critic who left unhappy. He/she, like myself, did not have a reservation but a "call ahead." As the hostess explained, the dining room had been booked for three weeks prior, and the call aheads would get priority if an...

I have been eating at Nick's for several years and they treat you like your family. My wife loves the Iced Tea. We end up getting a gallon of sweet tea to take home almost every visit. If your hungery they do give you your money's worth. The place is very clean also.
It is true the prices are cheap. But you get what you pay for, you can tell the quality of the food is not very good. I have been twice and both times the food is just ok... If your looking for "Cheap" food then this your place. If you want to pay a dollar or two more there are 2 other BBQ restauran...
I was in High Point shopping for furniture and was looking for a good place to eat. I asked around and was pointed in the direction of Carter Brothers BBQ & Ribs. So, upon the reccomendation of several local residents and business men and women, I went to Carter Brothers. I was very well pleased as ...
This restaranut is personally one of the worst that i have ever seen or ate at. I have been in the back of the restaurant and i have seen them drop food on the floor and pick it back up. I also have heard of reports where people have seen mexican arm hai in their hushpuppies and they claimed it happ...

On 2/16/2009, I took five couples for a nice and quiet meal at Stake Street. (We drove 26 miles to the restaurant). We do this as a group quite often. It was our St. Valentine’s Day celebration as a group. We don't mind the prices, if the food and service is worth it. This was not the case. The ser...

I put in a reservation for this place for valenitnes day. We arrived and they said it will be a 45 minute wait, even with our 8:00 reservation. The hostess was rude and acted like we were stupid when we asked where we were on the list. Whne we finally were seated at 8:50, they put us in the "bist...
I have dined at BBQ Joe's many many times. We have also been to several events that Joe has catered. The BBQ with Joe's sauce is the best I have ever had. The meat is very moist and has great flavor. I'm not a potato salad eater, BUT I have to have BBQ Joe's potato salad every time. It is GREAT!...
Bad service, bad food, and it cost too much. During the weekdays it might be fine but it's not during the weekend. If you're old yes, but if our young and have money, you're better off going to a nice restaurant. This is true because if their service and food were good then why close the J&S in Gre...

Per my experience the service was slow and incompetent. The waiter did not take our order correctly and failed to make it right. Our sushi order took 60 minutes to arrive. After spending $100.00 and feeling the service and food was only worth $45.00 I'll never eat there again.

Love this restaurant! great seafood, one of the best in highpoint, I has the Aquaria Stuffed Baked Flounder and my wife had the Bleu Cheese Ribeye both were awesome. Fun drinks and atmosphere.. a must try.
Love it!! I always go there with friends and family when in the mood for some Mexican. The service is fast and friendly and willing to please. The food is always wonderful! We also visit the La Hacienda on S. Main st as well. It is equally wonderful!
