Food is Mediocre at best. Took 30 min to get a deli sandwhich. Have gone a few times, all bad experiences.
I absolutely loved the Monroe sandwich! Seriously, I havent been able to find a sandwich like that anywhere else that I have been in Detroit.
this is the place to go!!!!!

The previous reviews are from 2004 and I hope those diners go back because Uptown BBQ has changed dramatically since. The prices are a little high but, overall the BBQ is good. And the service is better than in the past.
My date and I went for a drink and appetizer before a play at the Fisher Theater. The place look promising-- clean and somewhat classy. It took a very long time before we received our drinks. The staff seemed quite confused, in fact, despite our simple order. When we asked for a menu, we were ha...
The food is good and portions are fair. They should open up another location though.
I love the ambience, so 60's. The steaks are so juicy. Only negative, is staff is too young. They are sweet, but I want mature experience (and I do not want to see a spray bottle for cleaning sitting on ledge). I choose the bar for the ambience and mature bar staff. Sorry, but fine dining has it's r...

BEST JAMAICAN FOOD IN DETROIT. FAMILY ORIENTATED, GREAT ATMOSPHERE, YOU REALLY FEEL LIKE YOU ARE HOME.
Usually when I go I always get smothered pork chops or smothered or fried chicken with mac & cheese and candied yams. Their candided yams are 2 die 4. Keep up the good work!!!!!
I love the service. The people are friendly, the food is great and you get your meals at an appropriate wait time. I recommend that everyone who hasn't tried this restaurant to try it out and i will guarantee they will love it.
Since the new owners took over at the Country Grill, it has made a world of difference. The family that ownes it now is so nice and the are VERY CLEAN. Service is prompt and not only is the food good; the presentation is always great. I reccomend this resturant to all my friends and family who ar...
Connie and Barbara's may not be a sight for the eye ambience however, I think that it makes the neighbors and regulars feel right at home! As if their long time hangout has never perished. The food is one that will take you back to your gandmothers house when breakfast was QUALITY. It makes you feel...

I have tried many Mexican restaurants in the area and prefer to goto El Nacimiento because of there great service and great food! The wait staff is very helpful and courteous. I frequent the restaurant several times weekly!
There is nothing like taking a trip to Bert's on a Saturday. You have a front row seat to Eastern Market and people watching! Karaoke is performed by a local cast of characters, who are entertaining and serious about their craft! Sit down grab a beer, enjoy the entertainment and have some gr...

On a recommendation I went to Senor Lopez for Breakfast... It was truly disappointing. The Chiliquites were soupy and lacked any flavor. My guest ordered the steak and eggs, the eggs were overdone the steak (flank) was so thin and a strange color of grey. The flour tortia were as hard as a rock....

Consistently excellent food. Have purchased carry-outs from this restaurant for over 5 years with consistent, delicious food! Their Curry Goat gets our Highest recommendation! Outstanding!
This is by far the best restaurant in tha "D". This will be my competition for my future business, unless I will open up outside of Michigan. Maybe we will do something together. Who knows. THUMBS UP & HATS OFF to the staff at Johnsons Southern Kitchen! ! !

"I've been going to Greenwich Time for 30 yrs + and have never had a bad meal or drink." It really has been that long since Paul Borg sold the place ? I know for years the bar was called Borg's and a hangout for Greyhound employees.
every since i heard about happy cream i've enjoyed going there. i walk down there on my lunch almost everyday. the banana pudding ice cream is my favorite. the service and the employee is excellent.
