My experience at the Grand City Grille on January 14, 2007 was very nice and relaxing. I went during their brunch hour, the service and food was excellent. Everything was fresh and hot. On Sundays there is normally a gentlemen there who plays the saxophone/sings (puts me in the mind of Kenny G). ...
My husband and I celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary at GCG Valentine's Day weekend. That was our first time there and it was wonderful. There was no wait. When we were seated by this young man who were referred to us as kings and queens. The staff was very professional and polite. My husban...
The food was very mediocre (cold and basically tasteless). I had to send my lunch back for reheating. Biggest turnoff was the place was buzzing with flies. This was on Sept. 1, 2001. Also, when waiter serve the flaming cheese, he accidently squirted me in the face with juice.

I was surprised when i saw it rated on this website. the detroit health departmet should have closed this palce years ago. my co-workers stopped going there after they found dead flies in their food. I heard about this restaurant by word of mouth. I decided to go for a real, authentic detroit experience. It is a neighborhood family restuarant that has been around for 70 years although it has changed owners. The Northlawn Grill is a place where u can find good home-cooked food at a good price ...

Top notch cuisine and service. Opus is the best Detroit has to offer. A bit expensive, but as with everything else, you get what you pay for.

If this is Greek food and true Greek culture then yuck! No thanks! The service was horrible! The food was bland and it took forever, the silverware was dirty and we didn't get our drinks refilled without having to flag someone down. The order was wrong and nobody was sympathetic, they all had at...

Pizzapapalis is not only a great restaurant, but its also in a great area. Right in the heart of Greektown, its the best place to stop and grab a bite while you're out.

My only trip to Pizza Papalis came on the night of my friend's wedding rehearsal, and it was a memorable time at this restaurant. Both food and service was exquisite, and since I have returned from Detroit, I have recommended it to everyone that has plans to travel to Detroit in the very future. T...

I visited the restaurant as a Tourist. The restaurant being empty, I was seated promptly. However, I was not served. I waited patiently for 15 minutes - regularly catching the eyes of passing waiters - but still they refused to serve me. I wonder if there were any racial motives, but the inciden...

I went to Roma Cafe on a suggestion from my dad who had lived in Detroit about 45 years ago. He wasn't sure that place was still even there. It was a very pleasurable experience. The atmosphere was old world and staff was very friendly. The food was incredible and left no room for dessert. It i...
