Best DQ in the world - the old fashioned, REAL DQ,old mix recipe, traditional walk-up service, beautiful, historic old neon sign, 50+ years old and in the same family for 4 generations. If Norman Rockwell were still around, this is what he would paint.

What a wonderful, eclectic place. They are very active in the community, buying all they can from local farmers and using it to make unque, delicious food. Not pretentious, not snobby, just interesting cuisine prepared and served well.

I don't know what the excitement about this place is all about. Maybe all the chefs went out of town the Wednesday night I was there. Maybe they were resting on their laurels so much they forgot about the fundamentals! The rice in the $19 paella was COLD. It was both over and undercooked, mushy ...

After hearing about this place for a few years, I finally tried it. I went with my wife and another couple and we all came away with the same impression...wayyyyy over-rated. Food was marginal at best and the service was bad (they weren't busy, so that can't be an excuse). I would never give it a...

I arranged for my local mom's group to attend the wine tasting last night at Devotay and I was beyond disappointed. One of the women could not drink and called earlier to ask if she could just order off the menu. The staff member told her she could, but made her feel so uncomfortable about it she ...

Great place for dessert - $5 per person. Tiny restaurant, intimately packed but not overcrowded. Good international mix of customers, romantic ambience. Friendly staff, homey feel. Plants, bookshelves, windows make up 2 of the walls. Very cozy, good date place.

I've been to Givanni's multiple time every other week for several months, the food has always been halfway decent but the other night I was extremely dissatisfied by the quality of service we were given. We were seated next to 4 drunks (very, very drunk), 2 old guys and 2 college girls, they pro...

We chose his restaurant during our romantic get away. The prices were extensive with extremely small portions. My husband, who is NOT a big eater, left feeling hungry. I had a double house salad that proved to be the same size as his side salad, just served in a larger bowl. One glass of wine, t...

Only New York can surpass this cuisine. Call ahead for reservations and ask for a window seat. It's in the heart of downtown Iowa City, but just far enough out that it seems as if you're not downtown.

The Linn Street Cafe is the most romantic restaurant in Iowa City. My wife and I dined there last week for our 5th anniversary. Everything was great, my wife loved the scallops and had baileys white chocolate cheesecake for dessert. I had the huge ribeye and the creme brulee both were awesome. W...

The best fine dining restaurant in Iowa City! My wife and I dined at Linn Street for our anniversary, every thing was awesome. She loved the scallops,my ribeye was huge, it was the best steak I have ever had. Our waiter was super friendly and made us feel very comfortable.
On a rare visit to Iowa City, I decided try something different for lunch. While not fantastic, Masala Indian Vegetarian was indeed a new experience, in that it's both vegetarian and Indian, and definitely worth trying. The buffet was, however, very limited with about 3 entrees (not including ri...
I have been a regular visitor to Masala when I visit the town. In younger days lol, I worked next door. I have never been disappointed in the food. In fact, I rarely eat vegetarian food but this place can draw me in simply because the food is that good, despite my normal omni-diet. The service has a...
