I come to Savannah every year in seach of bar-b-que and let me tell you Barnes is awful!!!! They skimp on thier bar-b-que sauce that is too vinegary anyway and the meat is overly fatty. The prices are a little high too compared to other resturaunts in the area. The sweet tea is watered down and not ...
Eat at Barnes frequently and find their service as good as most other restaurants. If you get takeout check your order and if you are short on any sauce, etc they will happily give you more. Prices are somewhat higher than some other places but not prohibitively so. A recent remodel makes seating...
I have been eating at Barnes for almost 30 years and I love it. Nothing else in the country compares to it. Their pulled pork, bbq sauce, and brunswick stew are amazing. Everytime I am in Savannah I go to Barnes.
The service is horrible. They're all rude and ignore you. I've gotten take out a few times, and every time I go in to pick up, a bunch of girls will just stand there and talk to each other and not even acknowledge you're there. Even sit down service is awful. You'll be lucky if your waitress comes b...
Best pizza in Savannah. Great salads too!
Best Pizza in town! Perfect place to eat on the island with your family.
My wife and I stopped for a drink, we are in our 50s. My wife did not have her ID so she was refused service. Later we were told that we had to leave. When I pointed out that it was obvious that we were both over 21 we were told, “if you don’t like it, don’t come back. We will not be going back.
I had an overall ok experiance and my waitress was a very sweet girl but I think the food as over priced for what you got.
For being located in a little strip mall, the interior of Bella's is impressive, however, the ambience could still use a little sprucing up. I would definitely suggest the addition of some sort of music to liven up the atmosphere. The waitstaff also wears shorts and t-shirts - I think they could i...

I visited this facility on Friday, August 4th and found that the service was awful. There were six adults in my party, Four dinner salads were ordered, 1 steak, 1 combo Fujita, 1 steak dinner. The service of the waiter was excellent. The tortilla came that was as hard a nacho and the steak should...

This place serves real Italian gelato, and one of the few places in Savannah that we found with vegetarian meals and vegan dessert. The sandwiches are good and filling.
i am so mad i love captain d"s that was my best place to eat and they need to open another one in savannah ga.
My mother and I were traveling from New Jersey and we pulled over at Carey Hilliards in Pooler. We ordered the seafood platter and the shrimp platter. This was tv dinner food absolutely the worse food at a restaurant we have ever eaten at. The shrimp were about a 1/4 inch tyre the type you would us...
I have been eating at Carey Hilliards since they first opened on Skidaway. My Dad and Mr.Carey were good friends. Sad to say they are both no longer with us.The reason for this reveiw is hoping someone from the Hilliard family will see this. But I know its highly doubtful. So very disappointed on las...
Regarding the restaurant on highway 21 at Dean Forreast Road: If their kitchen is as nasty as the mens restroom no one should eat there again.
I am not sure about this carrey hillards but they have one in pooler. Let me just say dont pay with your debit card. The food was good and the service was good but when you pay with your debit card they automatically take out 20% for a tip without telling you. So if you leave a cash tip on the table...
Hi I live in Effingham and have had a pretty good experiance with all of the carey hillaiards. But I visited the one in Pooler, Ga Thursday, April 14 and had chicken. That night I began having stomach cramps and vomiting. I must have vomited at least 8 times. This was caused from food poisining from...
the only thing good about this place is nothing small portions on the boiled meat they call BBQ but the parking was ok i used to always go they in savannah but now since they are getting so cheap and sloppy on portions i can only afford to visit there when i get my bonus check
3rd straight dinning experience where our food quality was horrible and the service was really bad. When I told the waiter and cashier / manager I was dissatified with the quality of food they replied "that they were sorry". In other words, its the normal news to them. No big deal, just pay and move...
We live in Effingham county just outside Savannah, Ga. We have eaten at the relatively new Carey Hilliards in Pooler several times. Each time the food and service gets worse. The restaurant looks like its been open for years(dirty, rundown). Yesterday we waited 20 minutes to sit down and it took ...
