The food was okay, but the service was horrible. The waitress was inattentive and she literally slammed our change and to go boxes because she thought her tip wasn't large enough.

We went there on steak night. Great value- steak special came with salad bar. Steaks were cooked perfectly. Excellent service. Firecraker shrimp was tasty.
Two friends and I had a St. Patty's Day dinner here and were quite satisfied. I had the corned beef and cabbage special. Joe's Place is family and locally owned. Great quality food with fast and friendly servers. They went above and beyond for our table.

This is by far, my favorite restaurant in Gainesville.Great food.My wifes'favorite is the crab cakes.
