The Best Lasagna in the world.
If you want the best beef cutlet or chicken cutlet grinders you have to come here, but come hungry they are huge.
Best eggplant grinders in town and you get a lot for your money.
Max Downtown is an excellent restaurant featuring French Cuisine. Perfect for business lunches and dinners. This restaurant features a cigar bar. Occasionally, they offer an all in one package dinner.
Service and Atmosphere are first rate! The food is standard Max restaurant fare, uninspired and overpriced.

After working a hard day at a high end formal restaurant, I love bellying up to a rustic comfortable bar with a nice cold Stella. Although I don't know what nights are like, lunch is relaxing. A friendly staff knows when to chat with you and when not to. It feels like "home."
My husband and I were pleasantly surprised when we ate here (June, 2008). Delicious food, beautifully presented and stellar service. We had eaten at Oporto a few weeks ago and found the opposite experience - Mediocre food and bad service and overpriced. Nutshell is a gem!!!

I fortunately ate here despite being misled by the wrong menu posted on menupix,com. The food and service were great , prices were also reasonable with abundant portions. I am so glad we tried Nutshell and will definitely return.
The place is a dump. Dried ketchup splattered on the wall, broken ice cream freezer taking up space, everything is old and dirty, etc. etc. I don't know how they pass any health inspection.
You don't go to Paul's Wing It for the ambience. You go for the best wings in all of Connecticut ... maybe the best in New England.
