good food, good staff and very friendly
The food and service are fantastic. The strip-mall feel is a downer.
This place is like being in a diner from the 50s. This includes the prices. Not fancy, but good. I especially like the breakfast foods, eggs, pancakes, etc. and the soups and daily specials.
The food is good, the prices are great, and you get fed fast! I've been several times and it is a favorite.
Traditional Portuguese dishes, large portions for the price. excellent fish dishes, the seafood rice and cod fish are very good, generous use of spices especially garlic. I especially enjoyed the appetizers garlic shrimp and Mozambique shrimp, deserts where ok not great..

When I was a kid in the 1950's my grandparents would always take us to Sunday dinner at the Holiday Diner on Main Street in Danbury. It has been renamed the "New Holiday Diner" but it essentially looks the same and serves the same food. I try to stop in when I go up to Danbury to see my cousins.

It's a nice little place to get a quick bite to eat. Vivian, one of the workers is very nice to all customers. She always has a smile.

It was a good place to go, i have been to a bunch of places around danbury and its one that we go to on a somewhat regular basis. Depends on what kind of food you want they have a bunch of stuff but real good burgers.

The food is very good and the portions are very good. Some times the services can be a little slow . Overall though I would recommend this restaurant with out a second thought. Very good.
