The McDonald's on Lower Muscatine Road in Iowa City is convienently located next to the Sycamore Mall, so it's easy to grab a quick bite to eat after a bit of shopping. But use the drive-thru. There are only 2 cash registers inside and the service can be slow. The cashiers keep ringing up orders while no one seems to actually get the food to the customers that have already paid. Otherwise this is a great McDonalds. The food is hot, and gets 4 stars because if you are a McDonalds fan, this is McDonalds food pure and simple. The decor is '50's Rock and Roll, so it is a nice place to eat (once you've waited in line). This McDonalds only receives 3 stars for Kid Friendly because there is no play place for the kids. It's eating only at this McDonalds. Generally clean, there is occassional evidence on the tables left by previous customers which doesn't get cleaned up immediately. If you are a McDonalds fan, this location is recommended.
