My family and I really enjoy our experiences here. The service has always been spot on. The food from soup to main dishes are excellent. Such a variety, we have a vegan a vegetarian and meat eaters in our group and there is something for everyone.

Mekong serves by far the best Vietnamese and Thai food in Iowa City - Coralville and (Cedar Rapid for that matter). This family owned restaurant has been the best kept secret in town. The Mekong egg rolls are to die for, their soups (Vietnamese and Thai) are best I had. Try their Spicy Ginger or Tom Yun soups if you want the most flavorful soups you ever had. The Tamarind soup is unique as is the Crab Asparagus one.

You can't go wrong with any of their dishes.

We just had lunch at this establishment. The waitress messed up our 3 individual bills with another tables, then proceeded to give us the wrong change. They decided to count the till and came up with two different totals. Finally the OWNER came out and started arguing with us, insinuating that we were lying about how much we gave. The waitress and bar man were definitely not on their game, but to have the OWNER come out and argue with us totally upset us. They gave EACH of us the wrong change and then didn't want to admit that they messed up. I, NOR NO ONE I KNOW, will go back there because of his nasty attitude!
