About Lantern
Andrea Reusing is the chef-owner of Lantern. Her goal is to present simple, authentic Asian food using seasonal and local ingredients. The striking dining room and bar were designed by N.C. native (and current NYC resident) David Doernberg, an old friend and designer working in the film industry.

We had high expectations but Lantern was only average in it's delivery. To start with the fresh squeeze lemonade was too tart and the spring roll appetizer was a bit soggy. My cod fish special was more like and odd fish special because the ingredients just didn't work together. The only saving grace was my wife's red curry tofu dish as that was very good. Overall it was nice to try it once but there is too many restaurants in Chapel Hill to make a repeat visit.

The food is good but the service is hit and miss. Unfortunately they miss more than hits. There is just too many other in the Chapel Hill area to come back anytime soon.

The spice street platter app was pretty good. The ahi tuna with mango chutney was lackluster at best. the bouillabaisse was awesome. But sadly, the Berry Compote dessert was terrible! totally used frozen fruit not fresh
