Homey's Que & Grill

While some many like the smoke taste, I do not. The place stays busy so many much like it. I think it tastes like the meat went bad. Homey’s is located about a block east from Big Shoe’s BBQ (which was the BEST in the world). Big Shoe's building and sign are still there but the family gave it up. I don't know why as they were a landmark in Terre Haute and known in many parts of the USA for the great BBQ. Homey's a lifted some of the Big Shoe customers but not me.You just can’t compare southern style BBQ sauce on open pit cooked ribs to a tomato based ketchup sauce on smoky meat.

But if you like smoky meat with tangy ketchup you'll like Homey's.
