The Bed&Breakfast is great; however the restaurant is no longer part of the Gruene Mansion Inn. The new name of the restaurant is Gruene River Grill.

I visited Gruene with my wife on the weekend of our 25th wedding anniversary. We stayed at The Gruene Mansion Inn and the staff there suggested dinner at the restaurant. We had one of the best meals in one of the most unique bulidings I have ever been to. Take time out to meet the manager or owner like we did and you can see the time and effort they put into ensuring that you have a great time. My wife and I can't wait until our next visit.

Liberty Bistro is a must stop when you are in the New Braunfels area and is definitely worth a drive if you are in San Antonio or Austin. They have a very diverse menu so whatever you are looking for they have it. The wine list is excellent as well

Ordered the Freiheit Burger w/ fries and it was great. Burger was very big and delicious and the fries where hand cut. will go back
