Gordy's has been BACK IN BUSINESS for over a year now so please take down that statement on the front page! For THE BEST Southern chicken you ever want to eat, go to Gordy's in High Point. It's worth the drive!

Gordys is in business. It was great food. It is on my will go back soon list.

I am a waitress at Gordy's and have been for about a year now. My name is Amanda, love all of my sweet customers and am thankful for ya'll. I always do my best to give you good service and I want you to leave with a smile on your face. I want all of our customers to feel like family and to always enjoy their meal and of course their service.

Love Gordy's. It is just the best. Love the Pink Lady drink. Have been going to Gordy's almost all my life. Good food and Good Pink Lady drink.

We dine at Gordy's a couple times a week and love it. The waitresses have always been just as nice and kind everytime we go in. They make it personable when anyone comes in. They treat everyone like a friend.

Great place to eat. In and out quick at lunch. Dinner is a little slower, but food is hot and fresh when we get it. Everyone who works there that we come in contact with are so friendly and just plain nice. Love them being so personable, feels like family. All I have to say to the one with the bad review, if you had to deal with people like yourself, imagine how your service would be!

I think Gordys is a great place to eat. We eat dinner there at least 2 - 3 times a week. The only bad thing I have to say about it is they are not open on Sundays. Great place to eat after church. The waitresses have great attitudes and personalities especially having to deal with the public. If some of these idiots had to deal with customers like themselves, they would appreciate great attitudes.

We went to Gordy's tonight and I am appalled at the horrible service. When we came in, only about three booths were taken, but we had to look carefully just to find a clean one. We ordered all-you-can-eat fish dinner. After we were served, the waitresses disappeared. They never came by to check on us...to fill our tea glasses..or anything. Finally, we had to go up to the counter to ask for more fish. The wait staff was busy sitting in the empty buffet room chatting. When they finally came to our booth, they said that we could only have one more piece of fish. I said, "but we ordered all you can eat." The waitress (Amanda) began to argue with me. I couldn't believe that a waitress was actually arguing with me - the customer. Finally, they brought more fish and I asked why the service was so poor and they (Meg and Amanda) looked at me as if I had four heads. Then the waitress (Amanda) started calling me sweetheart (which I find degrading and unacceptable). I told her to not call me that, so she called me Sweetie instead. How indignant. I simply could not believe that I was actually having to defend my rights as a customer to these two waitresses. And when I tried to talk, they just talked over me and kept telling me that they did nothing wrong. I'm telling you....I have never had such an unacceptable experience in any restaurant. The waitress (Amanda) even told me that many people had found her to be a great waitress. In what universe? My husband and I left feeling almost abused. We felt this way by two indignant waitresses. Oh...and I almost forgot the busboy who was wearing his pants way below his butt. That was the last thing I wanted to see in an eating establishment. I went there for a birthday dinner for my husband and am still reeling from the horrible treatment we had. We will NEVER go to this restaurant again.

We went to Gordy's tonight and the service was horrible. It was nothing like it was before they closed for a few months. We waited 20 minutes for them to bring us our salad plates. The people around us was suppose to get hush puppies with their order,but had to ask for them again after they brought the food. I was very disappointed. We had ate there numerous times before,but the service may be good if you have an extra 2 hours to waste.

Gordy's is the best broasted chicken ever! I highly recommend this little restaurant - its southern and they're friendly - you'll eat on plastic plates and well dented-in booths, but its part of the whole atmosphere! A++
