We have been ordering take-out from Engs for years. We've always loved it. But recently the service is starting to slip. Last night was probably the last time we will order from them. We ordered our food at 5:40 pm and 3 phone calls later, several reassurances that it was on the way (1 hr 10 min if this) and much worry that it wasn't really coming at all, it finally shows up after 2 hrs. It was hot so obviously they lied about it being sent out over an hour ago and it tasted terrible. The Egg Foo Yong sauce was thin,greasy and flavorless. It tasted like they thinned it down to go further. Maybe they should hire more help and get the job done right.

I have been going to Engs since I was a kid with my family for over 30years. I now live an hour and half away from Kingston, but still head to Eng's once a month for their great dishes.

Simply put, THE best Chinese food in Ulster County. Real egg rools that have to be tasted to be appreciated. Not just stuffed with cabbage filling. The Chicken lo mein is to die for. They have been around for a long time and one taste will tell you why!!! No dissapointments at Eng's!

This is not your typical fast food chinese restaurant! Their fried rice is not that yellow stuff with peas and carrots in it. It is fried rice made the right way. And their egg rolls are nothing like what you would find in other restaurants. They are made of celery, not cabbage. Be sure to check out their buffet which features many of their most popular dishes.
So, as you can tell, I love this place. Most of the waitstaff has been there for years. They are friendly and eager to please. Prices are very reasonable.
