After you have a hoagie from Durham Deli you will not get a hoagie anywhere else!!!! They are huge, there's no comparison to any hoagie you can find. The prices are great, the amount of meat or salad on the hoagie is unbelievable, if you get a large you may need to save half for another meal. My favorite is their tuna salad hoagie, it's delicious. Lunchtime gets pretty crowded but I've never had slow service. Been going there for years...love it!!

I have known the owner for a while now. He is the nicest person I have met in this type of business. He has catered events for me personally and for school. Even when I'm changing my menu or head count two or three times and it's probably driving him nuts...he's so patient. His food is delicious and there is ALWAYS plenty! The hoagie rings are the perfect touch for any occasion. The chicken salad is awesome! The staff is friendly and the store is kept very clean. Durham Deli is the place to eat.

The food overall is pretty good. however, it couldn't hurt for them to go eco-friendly. for example, organic food. Things would run more efficently for take out if they had takeout menus and online. They have a wide variety of sandwhiches and the bes ...

I agree!! These are the best hoagies around!! I do have to say every once in a while they mess up (like putting on mayo instead of oil)...and speaking of oil...take a lot of napkins cause even if you ask for a little oil you get lots. But I still wouldn't go anywhere else for a hoagie!!

I'm not quite sure how this deli makes any money. They make the BIGGEST hoagies that I've ever had I mean they fill the roll to the gills.(and I worked in a pizza place for 7 years)
All the meats are quality meats, (Deitz & Watson) and their salads are also very good.
If you are only a little hungry I suggest u don't get a large. It is packed with whatever you asked for and 1/2 will be more than ample to bring for lunch the next day.
As far as clenliness goes, everyone at the counter where they make the food is wearing gloves and a hairnet so for the germ-aphobs out there you are covered
The only knock I have against them is that they have no tables inside (only outside tables for summer eating) so don't expect to eat it there in the winter. They also don't cater to kids as the portions are TOO big for a little kid. Even their sandwiches are packed with lunchmeats.

Again, as I said "I have no idea how they make any money," but in my opinion they are for sure the place to go when you want a BIG ASS hoagie for the same price as WaWa or any crappy pizza place around them.

Try them you won't regret it, trust me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
