Do not get the chicken boursin! It was disguisting. Tip: when making a martini with a twist of lemon... you use a lemon rhine, not a big chunk of lemon on the side of the glass. And what is up with 1/2 a table cloth on the table. Too pricy for average food. Ate upstairs.... dark dreary atmosphere. Would not go back.

We have eaten at the Country Tavern several times. Each experience has been excellent. We would highly recommend them, especially for a special romantic dinner!

Food was OK but they are very cheap with the wine, only giving you less than half of a very small glass (maybe 3-4 oz net) and at $5.00 a pop, you expect a bit more. The attitude of the "maitre de" when politely told of this fact were rather rude and, in essence, said "don't let the door hit you on the way out." I won't go there again.

The Country Tavern has become our favorite "haunt"! The food is always fresh and elegantly presented, the service is impeccable and the atmosphere is delightful. We've taken many of our out-of-state family and friends to this wonderful restaurant--they too, cannot get enough of the warm and friendly ambience! Some travel more than 100-miles!

Let me start with this is a dark dingy looking place.We went for lunch @ 12:45. Only two other tables were occupied. Half of the buffet containers were empty. My husband asked if they were going to refill the containers.
