Have been going to Capps for years. The Osso Buco is a must try!! Never had a bad meal in all the years we have eaten there.

Try the Eggplant Parmesan, its the best in the City. I am a long time San Francisco resident and Capp's is one of my favorite restaurants. It does get its share of tourists, but also has a steady stream of loyal locals. When you are looking for a solid, casual, unpretentious, huge Italian dinner, Capp's is the place to go.

Pastas, fish, meat course all reasonably priced with hearty generous portion. Service is always professional and friendly.

It does get its share of tourists, but also has a steady stream of loyal locals. When you are looking for a solid, casual, unpretentious, huge Italian dinner, Capp's is the place to go.

Capps has very average Italian food. It seems to cater to the tourist crowd who do not know about the other great Italian restaurants in North Beach. I would not recomend eating at Capps. Try anyplace else in North beach and you will do better. The only think worth eating there is their creamy italian dressing. The salad is no good, but the the dressing is special.
