Glendale Restaurant Guide

OUR OVERALL REVIEW OF THE BIG APPLE IS -1. THE FOOD WAS COLD, HAD NO FLAVOR AND THE WAITRESS STAYED IN A BACK ROOM OUR WHOLE MEAL.

We have dined several weeks now at the Friday All you Can Eat Fish Fry and the fish is excellent!!! Chris (server) is the best, but they all do a good job. The service is quick and friendly. We have been going for Sunday breakfast for at least 4 years now and have no complaintsthere either. We are always satisfied with the promptness of service and the quality of the food. If the individual who complained about their visit on November 24 wants gourmet food, I would suggest the go to a high dollar restaurant!! I know of few fast food restuarants that don't use instant mashed potatoes these days. Some people just have to be picky about everything and are seldom satisfied. Keep up the good work.

The first thing we noticed when we arrived was the eerie silence. There was no music playing and it was awkwardly silent. We asked the server to put on some music to liven the atmosphere, after the third request we stopped asking. My wife ordered a glass of chardonnay which tasted like it had been opened for a few days, it was quite sour. The food was very very disappointing! The mashed potatoes were from a powder, we asked the server to verify and he admitted they were not real!! The corn tasted like it was frozen and it was cooked till it was mushy, the beans tasted like they were from a can. As for the meat....the smoked chicken had absolutely no smoke flavor which made us take a smell of the air, no smoke smell inside or out, how do you smoke without a smoker?? I can go on and on, the brisket was a shredded overcooked mess as was the pulled pork, and neither had any hit of smoky flavor or smell, it was hard to tell the difference between the two. If you are looking for good barbeque or any kind of decent meal stay as far away from this place as you can!!
